Firstly: thank you to everyone for saying hi on my last post! Yay! hi! Glad to know there's still people around these here parts. :)

I had a most marvelous weekend! I went to Chicago for the first time in ages and there were Shenanigans.

I stayed with the lovely [livejournal.com profile] rhombal and [livejournal.com profile] musictoyourlips, who have the cutest little apartment now. I hadn't seen them in way too long! I arrived on Friday night and we lounged about chatting and looking at sexy footballers, as you do. Then we got (maybe) 3 hours sleep and woke up at some obscene hour of the morning prior to 6 AM in order to go to the pub and watch the Arsenal! The pub was much quieter than last time I went (which was the last day of the season and a massive, dramatic battle against relegation). We had coffee, coffee, and more coffee, watched a dash of West Ham vs Millwall (red card to West Ham's captain, shocker!), and then it was time for the Gunners! Arsenal were facing cellar dwellers but also bogey team Blackburn, so we were nervous, but in the end Arsenal romped to a thoroughly delightful 7-1 victory, including a ROBIN VAN PERFECT HAT TRICK and the Ox's first two league goals and a delicious Arteta goal and, as the cherry on the sundae, a Thierry Henry goal, served up on a platter by RVP. It was simply, utterly marvelous. And I didn't even miss any goals while I was in the bathroom or anything! Amazing! It's like they put on a show just for me. Thank you, boys. ♥ I was also keeping a close eye on Twitter because my other boys in red and white (Mainz) were playing co-league leaders Schalke, and I was very nervous. We SCORED and went into half-time 1 up, but Schalke came out much stronger and equalized. But we dug in our heels and held on for the draw, which gave us an important point and knocked Schalke off the top of the table! Woo! All in all, a delightful morning of football.

At this stage it was not even noon and I had already had more caffeine AND alcohol than is advisable (really just a large cider but pre-noon that is plenty). We went back to their apartment and crashed for much, much needed naps.

Then [livejournal.com profile] rhombal and I went to see EMPIRES and THE HUSH SOUND!!! Eeeee! This was the reason I chose this weekend to visit Chicago and oh it was so much fun! We drove to the Bottom Lounge (randomest venue ever) and had dinner with [livejournal.com profile] angel726 and two of her friends. We said hi to Sean van Vleet out in the bar, who remains the sweetest, and I (worryingly) identified Nick Scimeca from way across the room. Oh dear. We also spotted Ryan J (who has cut his hair - I must confess I miss the floppy) but he was hanging out with Scimeca, so I didn't get a Ryan J hug. :( We found THE WHOLE INTERNET, including [livejournal.com profile] candidlily and [livejournal.com profile] xsnarkasaurus, yay! Then we watched the first opening band, who were a bit cacophonous but had a couple nice songs, and were mostly entertaining because the singer reminded me of Gerard Way (sassiness, mostly) and, physically, Cesc Fabregas. What. We got a nice space up near the stage (dear fangirls who waited hours in the cold for this show: you are ridiculous) and then it was Empires time!!! I've seen them so many times but it's always a blast. SVV has become such a great and confident frontman. Spit the Dark and Damn Things Over remain my favorites live. The new music is sounding great too!

THEN IT WAS HUSHIES TIME! EEEE. I had only seen them twice before, way back in... I don't know, 2009? AGES. So this was an absolute treat! They seemed to be having a lot of FUN performing together again. Bob and Greta are kind of hilarious in how different they are - Bob's wicked and suggestive and irreverent, where Greta is wholesome and sweet and tries to crack dirty jokes but then takes them back immediately, and I want to give her a hug. Darren and Chris have both grown their hair long, to very different effect. Darren looks like Tomrad from behind, but I like it on him even better - I want to play with it. Chris..... looks like an effeminate Jesus. I don't even know. But they blew my face off! \o/ The setlist was lovely, voted on by the fans and balanced between the three albums. So much stuff off So Sudden! I was a bit sad they didn't play my two favorites (Dark Congregation and Hurricane) but a gorgeous rendition of The Artist more than made up for it. Molasses, Honey, Wine Red... so wonderful. I really do love them as a band, though I'd have to say Gold Motel edges them out a bit for me (which explains why Greta's songs are my favorite Hushies ones). It was a fun, breathless experience that brought me back to the heyday of my bandom love, when every show was an Occasion (now, every show is fun, but mostly seeing bands I've seen loads of times before). I have lovely pictures and videos but my memory card reader is not cooperating right now and I can't be arsed to go get the cable, so I'll have to share them later.

Sunday (today) was deliciously lazy - [livejournal.com profile] musictoyourlips made breakfast and we watched the first half of Chelsea-United (barf), then muted that in favor of Sherlock - Hound of Baskervilles and Reichenbach Fall, which [livejournal.com profile] rhombal hadn't seen yet! *rolls around* Love love love loooove.

Then I had to leave and it was sad. :( Tomorrow is Monday morning. I protest.

So this post doesn't end on a downer, I want to say that if you like Sherlock and have Tumblr, my Tumblr has become basically a shrine to Sherlock and all things Benedict Cumberbatch. \o/ I'm exsequar over there too. I will leave you with his perfection:

I just went to see We The Kings at my local venue and they were adorable! I'm not sure their adorableness was worth going by myself and waiting through three semi-decent opening bands standing in the very hot balcony, but they were still adorable and I made it so there's no point whingeing :) They're a lot of fun live, and Travis seems like an absolute sweetheart. He told a story about how 2 days ago Hunter jumped off a bridge (?!? he did not clarify why!) and landed on a kayaker. Um. Hunter ended up with a huge gash that required nine stitches, but they did not elaborate on the condition of the kayaker! Oh how faily, silly boys. Speaking of Hunter, HIS HAIR WAS SHORT. Either he cut it and I wasn't aware, or he had to get it cut to have the stitches put in D: Very depressing, as I found him extremely attractive with the long hair. His brother Drew was like a ninja on bass, quietly doing his thing, it was pretty awesome. And I'm a big fan of Travis's hair you guys - it goes all over the place!

Their set was short but fab. Check Yes Juliet, of course, and they opened with Skyway Avenue, which is my personal favorite. They also played Secret Valentine and Whoa, and probably at least 2 more but I don't remember which. Whoa is really fun with a whole room singing along. It was very very crowded, much more than I anticipated - so many teenies! I was just lucky it wasn't sold out.

One of the opening bands was called Kingsfoil. Their singer had floppy bleache blonde hair and was quite attractive and funny, but he was the most faily dancer I've ever SEEN. It was lolarious. It mostly amounted to sitting back on his heels and moving his butt from side to side. Hilarity.

While I'm talking about concerts, I might as well ramble about HUSHIES!!!! Of all the bands I could have seen twice, I'm really really glad it was them, because wowwww I adore them ridiculous amounts.

The first night, I was not working on very much sleep, and I'd had a miserable drive, so for the openers I was headachey and impatient and didn't get much out of them. However, the next day, I paid attention and I ADORED Morning Light. I find the two singers thing to be adorable, and the keyboardist/guitarist/singer guy (whose name, I believe, is Harrison) with floppy blonde hair was the cutest thing I've ever seen. I really enjoyed their set a lot. Does anyone have their album? [livejournal.com profile] candidlily perhaps? I'd love to hear it.

And then Steel Train was just so much fun. That's pretty much what I got out of it. I loved when they all sang together, and I loved how members of Morning Light kept coming on stage. The singer of ML came on once and slapped the guitarist on the ass, shared a mic with him for a while, and then blew him a kiss before he went off stage. It was precious. The lead singer of ST is spastic and reminds me a lot of one Bden Urie. Overall they were totally win too.

Thennnn Cab babies. Okay, they're very good live, and I really like a couple of their songs. But Cash irritates the hell out of me (WE KNOW YOUR BASS SAYS CFOB.COM, STOP FLIPPING IT OVER), and when Singer says things like "Has anyone heard of us?" just to get screams, well. Meh. I had a lot of fun watching Marshall flip his hair about though, and try and fail to make sexy faces. I also enjoy Ian a lot a lot. However, I don't understand how ANYONE finds Johnson attractive. He looks all sleazy and greasy. Yuck. ANYWAY. Singer sang "A Whole New World" when a girl in the audience asked on Friday, and he also started us up with a snippet of 'NSync. I have video of the Aladdin bit later in the post. Oh Singer. I do like his voice.

THEN HUSHIES!!!!!! They're just... so fabulous, you guys. We got a great spot about five back from barrier way on Greta's side of the stage, so we were super close to her and we were either in a draft or air conditioning, which was awesome. I was very pleased, especially as there was no one behind us, so no pushing or contact at all! \o/ Greta is... incandescent in person. She absolutely glows. She had her hair down to start and then kept putting it up because it got too hot. She apparently took that lesson to heart because the next day she came on stage with it up in pretty french braids. I was glad I got to see it down because it's beautiful. And Bob - okay, Bob is thoroughly attractive to me now. I never saw the appeal before but he's got a lot of presence and he's a great performer and I am enamored! On Saturday I was more in the middle and could see Chris better, and hot DAMN he is pretty. I lovelovelove the scruff on him and hope he doesn't lose it. Ditto Bob. And DARREN!!!! He wore a basketball jersey both nights, and is just the most ridiculous, happy, wonderful boy ever. I heart him a lot a lot.

They opened with the beautiful piano and Greta bit from the beginning of Goodbye Blues (video below), then went right into Love You Much Better. I love that song! They played pretty much all of my favorites except A Dark Congregation. Hurricane is goooorgeous live (also video below), and Molasses is a rollicking good time. They also played Honey, Medicine Man, As You Cry, Not Your Concern, We Intertwined, Wine Red, Sweet Tangerine, Don't Wake Me Up, and Momentum, not in anything resembling that order (though Momentum was the encore). As for special things, there was lots of fun shenanigans - they played their Back to the USSR cover, which is awesome, and We Believe In (Barack Obama) which is SO much fun live. Darren rapping is a thing of joy and beauty, as is Greta frolicking with a tambourine. They closed with a cover of Tom Petty's "Last Dance with Mary Jane," for which many members of the other bands came up and sang verses, including Ian, who also played harmonica and keyboard! Geez, Ian! Multitalented much? He's amazing. On Saturday, Harrison (aforementioned cute blonde from Morning Light) came up and played keyboard with them some, which I enjoyed muchly. There was a lot of shenaniganating and preciousness and I had THE BEST TIME EVER EVER! My little sister LOVED the show so much, and I was really glad. I'm afraid I've gotten her addicted to concerts at a very young age, whoops! And Michelle totally fell in love with the Hushies, so yay! \o/

Now for a few pictures and videos :) I sadly don't have any pictures or videos from Saturday when I had a much better view of Darren and Chris, because my battery died :( :( Oops. Oh well.

HUSHIES and company! )

Videos! )

Yay concerts! Next up - Reggie and the Full Effect, haha. Without Leathermouth, sadly! Oh Frank, why do you abandon me?

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] moonythestrals!!! You are awesome, just for the record. I'm sorry we couldn't meet up when I was in Philly, but the show ended at 11:30 and I went straight to my friend's house to pass out for the night. But I will see you! Soon! I promise! Hope you have a great birthday and that you have a good week visiting your friend :)

<3333

Secondly, I realized I never made a post about disappearing for the weekend! I won't be back til, like, Monday night. I'm SO BEHIND on my flist already, ugh. But I went to see HUSHIES!!!! Twice!! Philly and Hartford. They were FANTASTIC. Absolutely blow-my-mind wonderful. Such sweethearts and fabulous performers! The Cab were catchy and bouncy, of course, though they still induce some pretty heavy eye-rolling from me. Philly I was really tired so I didn't appreciate the opening acts much, but last night i LOVED Morning Light and Steel Train. Lovelovelove. Does anyone have either of their albums? I'd really appreciate it!

At the Hartford show, I brought my little sis (for her early bday present) and my best friend Michelle. They both had a blast, which I was really happy about.

I don't have a lot of pictures, and the audio on my videos is pretty appalling, soooo there may not be a big report. But I'll say more later. Right now I need to shower and go have a girls day with my mom, and tomorrow I'll visit my old high school and hang with my daaaaddy. Yay!

We got home from the show at like 2 last night, and what did I do? DOWNLOAD AND WATCH ATLANTIS. Because HOMG. MY HEARRRRRRT. It was just *flailyhands* AMAZING. Oh, Rodney. *squeaks* Feel free to flail at me in comments because oooomg.

Also, does anyone find it extremely stupid that a show that produces THIS kind of episode AND wins the People's Choice for best sci fi show got canceled?? In what bizarro universe does THAT make sense??? Ughhh.

ANYway. So I won't be around for a couple more days! Don't do anything I wouldn't do! :)

Chemistry is frustrating. I really couldn't do this for my life. I did generate the purest sample of my final product yet today though. So yay? \o/

Let's talk about Friday!! I know at least [livejournal.com profile] mmeguilotn, [livejournal.com profile] fayemeadows, and [livejournal.com profile] chaneen on my flist are going - I'm so excited! What time is everyone arriving? I don't have a sound check ticket, so when should I try to arrive by to get a decent place? I'll have to figure out how early I can pull off leaving work.

Unpopular fandom opinion alert! Jon Walker shaved.... aaand I find him significantly less attractive. He's not my favorite to begin with, but I thought the beard really worked. Alas.

UGH DUE SOUTH. THAT IS ALL.

I feel like my posts are really inane lately. With the exception of happy babbling about Empires loves. Ummmm... sorry? *hands*

I miss MCR, tbh :-/

I'm sleepy.

My flatmate/bestie's birthday was this weekend, and his grandparents got him a 32" flat screen TV. Homg it's beautiful. We just bought cords and adapters so we can play shit from our laptops on it and omgggg you guys. GERARD'S SO BIG I JUST WANT TO LICK HIM.

...that sounded very dirty. OM NOM NOM GERARD. :D

I called the insurance company today and they're mailing me a replacement phone tomorrow \o/ However, since I'm a failboat, I thought that the fact that it requires a signature for delivery meant I had to have it sent home and make sure someone's there. I didn't think to mail it to the school mail room, where they could sign for it. *facepalm* I r dumb. Rob's being very nice and staying home for the morning (his work is all on computers anyway) and I'll cover the afternoon if it isn't here yet. NEW PHONE YAY.

You know that experiment that I've been agonizing about? Well I think I FINALLY fixed the problem. Or rather, Dr. Van Arman did. He was my orgo professor in sophomore year, and if you've been around that long you may remember that I LOVED him. When we had our poster session last week, I explained our problem to him, and he said "Oh why don't you try X or Y?" I ran the idea past MY professor and he kinda went "Huh. I really like that!" *facepalm* My professor is not exceedingly bright. Between us we quite lack imagination, and since I lack the knowledge/experience besides, it leads to some dead ends. Thank god for Van Arman! \o/ So that's a huge relief. Another reaction I ran today also had the best column separation I have EVER seen, and a great (84%) yield. So it was a good chemistry day! \o/

I also made an important decision. I have this grant money (up to $3000) that comes with the scholarship I have here. I could do two things with it: use it to do a project somewhere besides here, or apply it to my research/thesis project here. I was thinking about using it to go to Dublin in December and work in a lab there for 3 or 4 weeks. Clearly the motivation for that was not the project itself, which I felt was somewhat dishonest. So for various reasons, i think I've decided to use the money for my research with Dr. Fenlon. We could really really use it, as the compound that forms the basis of my research costs $1,800 for 10 grams. Yeah. Also, that means I can use the time in December to go visit extended family in Ohio and Michigan whom I haven't seen in over a year in some cases.

My Hush Sound ticket arrived from my dad for Philly! YAY!

Speaking of concerts, I'm trying to figure out this Empires nonsense. The easiest show for me would be the Saturday show in Baltimore, but their MySpace says 6 PM while the venue website says 2 PM, with a fancy flier and another band booked at 8 PM. So I'm thinking the 2 PM is correct, which is fine since it's a Saturday and easier to travel back afterwards. I doubt I'll have to buy tickets ahead of time - I mean, matinee show of an unsigned band? Yeah. I'm excited!!!

Also, the Cobras presale is tomorrow. There are several dates that are in geographical proximity, but only the Philly one is really feasible in terms of date. However, that's right in the thick of the semester and I think I'm going to be SUPER busy this year. As I just saw the Cobras, and they're not my favorite (musically!), I think I'm going to say no to this one. For now. I have to draw a line somewhere!

Also also, people keep talking about the Cab tour, but I haven't actually seen any info on it anywhere. What's it called? I'm just curious, because someone referenced it being a faily name (WHO IS SURPRISED?) but didn't actually say what it was. I don't think I'll go, as, uh, I'm seeing them twice as a consequence of The HUSHIESSSS, and I don't like the album.

I got my paycheck today (the second half of my summer stipend) and, in total, they took out EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS in taxes. Taxes I will just get back because I'm not going to make enough to need to be taxed! Fucking government. I could really use that money right now.

Uh, I don't want to end this post on a down note. Ergo, FRANK.

DO WANT.

It always feels really good to contribute something to fandom! People seem to really like the rips I did of TBPID at Maxwells, yay!

I am still feeling very sick, only it's a new kind of sick! I'm all congested and achey and tired. UGH. And I STILL have that scary, violent cough. It's less frequent, but when I cough, it feels like it's forcing its way out of my throat, and more often than not it renders me incapable of speech and fighting for breath. It's fucking scary. Earlier, I was having a coughing fit, and from the other room Rob called "Are you dying?" and when I stopped coughing I couldn't breathe and thus couldn't answer, so he came out looking all concerned. Oops :-/ IDEK, you guys.

But oh yeah, ROB'S HERE!!! :D :D Rob is one of my two bestests here at college, who are also my roommates this year, and Rob just got back from New Zealand and moved in! YAY! It's really nice to have him around and not be alone in the apartment.

Work is still going slowly, but I'm choosing not to focus on that and rather on the AMAZING plans I have for the next month and a half. Let me share them with you.

  • Jul 10-13: Shore Leave Convention in Baltimore. In which I will meet HEWLETTS!!!! and Jewel Staite and Mark Sheppard and other awesome folks, and I will also have a [livejournal.com profile] hebrew_hernia and a [livejournal.com profile] unamaga and MOAR FANGIRLS! Ugh so excited.
  • Jul 19?: Jersey Shore. This one isn't definite, but Rob lives on the Jersey shore and we might go out for the weekend. Also in the cards is DARK KNIGHT IN IMAX!!! Eeeee.
  • Jul 27: Warped!!! in Scranton, PA. COBRAS! TAI! GCH! MOAR! [livejournal.com profile] enoughoflove!!! YAY.
  • Jul 31-Aug 3: Washington DC with Kate (roommate from Dublin) for Cary's birthday! Megan's coming too! YAY!!!
  • Aug 15: EMPIRES at MAXWELLS in HOBOKEN!. Empires!!!!! I'm so excited to see them, though a little bummed they're not coming to my town. But. MAXWELLS! Where the MCR darlings played! Ugh so excited. Fun fact: my daddy played gigs there when he was younger!
  • Aug 18: My 21st birthday!
  • Aug 22: The Hush Sound in Philly!
  • Aug 23: The Hush Sound in Hartford! With my little sister and my best friend Michelle! HUSHIES YAYE.

I have developed an inordinate fondness of the Hushies as of late. I still don't have an icon (I will rectify soon!) but I am so so excited to see their darling faces TWICE in August. I went trolling through their FOE photos and they are seriously so precious, guys. I can't even.

Sorry for the spam, but in even MORE exciting news, I have now purchased TWO tickets to the Hartford Hushies/Cabbies show!!! And I'm going to take my wonderful little sister! :D I've been dying to take her to a show since we both got obsessed with these ridiculous wonderful bands. It's 4 days after my birthday, and a Saturday, so I'm going to also see my family for probably Sunday before heading back to PA for my job. It's going to be amaaaaazing! YAY!

Can we talk about how fucking adorable those Darlings at the Disco are? Because seriously. Zack Hall, please be my minder. ILU. And your infinite patience. Can we also talk about how watching Spencer Smith flail about on the floor trying to pretend he was swimming was the hottest thing ever, UNTIL five seconds later, when Brendon Urie did a standing backflip to Elton John? YEAH I DONT KNOW EITHER. <333333333 However, the Ladder vs. Windshield one is my FAVORITE, because, well, 1) ZACK. ILU. Solving the mystery! "We can tell CSI NOT to come. Unless they want to." 2) Zack hugging all of Hush Sound hello, UGH MY HEART! Darren is so miniscule next to him! And Greta is just engulfed! Daaaaarlings! 3) BRENDON URIE hugging all of the Hushies hello!!! The way he ruffles Chris's hair is THE MOST PRECIOUSEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN, OKAY. <3333333333333333 Heeeeee! And 4) GRETA. "We've just been shot at!" and Brendon, "FOR REAL??" Ahahahaha. Lovelovelovelove. The shenanigans those children must be getting up to on this tour! Moar backstage footage plz!

My sister got to go to the HCT show last night in Connecticut with my dad. She had SUCH a great time. It sounds like it was an awesome show. And my dad really enjoyed it! He said they're fantastic performers with a great sound, and he loves the three of our boys harmonizing, and yay. They were in the pit (i could have sworn there were no seating tickets on sale when I got the presale tickets! Is that because GA is considered better? I'm sure my dad would have appreciated sitting down >.<) and had a great view. I wish I could have been there with them! Ah well, it will happen at some point, me and my sis will totally become concert buddies (love you, Mere! <3) when Panic returns to the states and MCR stops rolling in their wedded bliss :P

Next let's talk about how EXCITED I am for the new X-Files movie. LKSDFLSDKJF. It's going to be amaaaaaazing, you guys. Mulder and Scully are 100% the original OTP of my heart, and I cannot express the glee it gives me to have new canon coming. YAY YAY YAY. The viral promo thingies are FANTASTIC (see them over at [livejournal.com profile] xfiles) but I can't seem to get the trailer to work for me! WANTS *grabbyhands*

I called my mommy to wish her Happy Mother's Day tonight. She was most pleased by the edible flower arrangement (read: shaped fruit, some of it chocolate covered, nom nom nom) that I sent over, so yay. We had a nice long chat, it's nice to have grown out of the at-war-with-mom teenage phase! (Unlike my rooommate, who cannot talk to her mom for 5 seconds without getting in a fight >.<) At the end she handed the phone to my brother and I ended up talking to him for half an hour. I forget how fond I am of him sometimes! He's 17 and clearly can be quite the pain in the ass, but as I've taken the stick out of my ass, and he's matured a bit, we're much more able to have real conversations. He's so funny and smart, when he's not an asshole we get along great. My mom told me the story about how he completely out of the blue won the position of vice president in his high school's student council, haha! He tied for second in the first round of voting, then they had to write speeches, and his speech was so awesome that he won! I'm not super surprised, because he's extremely eloquent, charismatic, and a great writer, but still, how cool. Now... he just has to pass junior year. Which is actually quite up in the air :-/ His teachers RAVE about how brilliant he is, how he leads class discussions and has the brightest mind, but... he doesn't do his work. Oh Pete. He's so frustrating, but such a great kid. I'm sure he'll come out on top eventually.

This is still on time in the states, so HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY to all the lovely moms on my flist! Off the top of my head, [livejournal.com profile] keepaofthecheez, [livejournal.com profile] deirdre_c, [livejournal.com profile] adellyna, and I'm probably forgetting someone or not aware, but um. Yes! You are all lovely ladies and I admire you so much for what you do! I hope you all had fantastic days :)

That's all for now. The hardcore week of studying has begun, so while I'm probably getting my laptop back in the next couple days, I'm still going to be relatively MIA. Love you all! <3

'Ello darlings! Just popping in to say that everything is going peachy. I love my Michelle muchly ♥ We spent yesterday in my bed watching The Mighty Boosh and the Big Fat Quiz of the Year, during which Michelle became entirely smitten with Noel and Russell, AS YOU DO, and then we ventured into the yucky rain to go to Laura's birthday, which was quite a lot of fun, even though the place was very hot and the music very loud. Niall and Sinead and Paddy and that whole crowd were there, so yes, good times were had.

Today we walked around the city for 3 hours just so she could see what there is to see. I love my city. The sun even deigned to come out and it became what could almost be termed warm, which was just shocking. And very nice. Good show, Dublin :) I bought a pair of flats from Penney's for 6 euro, they are SO ADORABLE. They have comic panels on them! I rather adore them. Then I got sucked in by a stand of pretty skirts at a tiny little shop, and I bought this long jean-and-dark-tie-dye patchwork skirt which is just gorgeous, I'm so in love with it.

Then we returned home and planted ourselves on the couch and proceeded to finish both Big Fat Quizzes and watch the cast+Joss commentary on Serenity, which was so joyful. (One of my favorite things about Nathan is that he loves the Tams and their love just as much as I do, and always rambles about it at length. Siiiigh Tams.) I also forced her to sit through the videos for I'm Not Okay and Ghost of You, as well as the making of INOK, just so she could be at least a little acquainted with the loves of my life :) I realized I have not seen her since BEFORE I got into bandom, which was FOREVER ago. I have missed her so desperately. This weekend was essential for both of our mental healths. And I get her for two more days still! Yay!

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, ho boy! The sci fi guys are gonna let us into campus so we can watch the parade from one of the campus buildings which will give us a great view overlooking the streets, without having to fight with the massive crowds :D Very exciting. This will be followed by epic drinking sessions - not sure to what extent I will participate, but I plan to at least get pleasantly plastered! \o/

Tuesday I get my daddy and my sis! Yaye!

Life is good :)

OH PS!!! I downloaded the leaked Hushies album and it is AMAZING!!! I'm clearly going to buy it when it comes out, but I couldn't resist. It's just gorgeous!! My favorite song is totally Not Your Concern already. Or Honey, but I already knew that one obviously. YAY HUSHIES! I hope I get to see them live some time in the near future!
