(no subject)

Long but wonderfully productive day at work today! I did a purification column that took all day and ended up with 300 mg of a foamy white solid, which is, to quote my professor, "a lot," which I can now take on to the third and final step of my synthesis! Yay! This is very exciting.

My professor asked me what week this was for me, saying "5th? 6th?" and I was like "7th..." and he seemed very surprised. I really haven't accomplished all that much :-/ But at least I'll be coming back next summer!

I love how the school administration fucked up and moved our payday *back* by about two weeks. That is a rather large sum of money, as it's half of my entire summer salary, and to just randomly move it back two weeks (without informing us! I found out through a friend in the program, and I have no idea how she found out) is pretty awful. Luckily I don't *need* it, not yet, but still. Annoying!

I was going to emo all over a post and whine about how I feel pointless and unproductive in all ways and blah blah but suffice to say I feel like a rather lame member of fandom and wish I could contribute more. Meh! Whatever. Moving on!

I'm going to see Order of the Phoenix in IMAX on Friday!! Then on Sunday I'm going to Philly to spend the day with jebbypal! This is all very exciting :D
