yes! god, it's like if they took bds and the departed and melded them together you'd have the best of both worlds... the intense ohmygod-inducing plot twists and intricacy of the departed with the utter love between the macmanuses. i mean, dignam and smecker!!! can you imagine the snark convo that would be had between those two? I'M SO HAPPY YOU FLAIL WITH ME OVER THIS. i was all: i barely know her but OH MY GOD SHE SAID THE MAGIC WORDS. THE DEPARTED. MUST. FLAIL.
