Now the red ones make me fly
The deed is DONE!

Kind of shitty picture, but it's surprisingly hard to get a focused picture of your ankle o.O

Excuse the blob of saran wrap, lol.
I'm so fucking fond of it, you guys. And that's pretty important, since it's on my body... forever! It's a little weird right now, looking down and seeing this ink there that's... never going to go away, but I have a feeling I'm going to love having it there, I really am.
The process was... quick? We went in and I showed them what I wanted. They shrunk it with a photocopier a little and I approved the new size - not too small, not too big. They told me it would be 30 minutes and to go get a candy bar, so I did (like I'm going to disobey that kind of doctor's orders, right? :)). I came back, went right into the room, took off my shoe and hopped up on the chair. The guy was, of course, covered in tattoos and also quite hot :D He was very quiet though - barely said anything except to respond to my questions. His name was Sean, a name I've always loved, incidentally. :) I told him I wanted the letters a bit more connected than they were in the image, and he said no problem. Then he plopped the design on my leg and looked at me for my approval of the placement, and hey, it was good! So then he just... started! I had Kate come in and hold my hand, and I certainly felt it, squeezing her hand pretty tight, but it really wasn't bad. Like the sensation of getting a shot but just constant, and I've never minded shots. And it was over in like FIVE MINUTES, probably less! Cause basically all he had to do was write the words! When it was over I was like, is that it?? o.O And lo and behold, I had been altered forever! It was kind of surreal, having built it up for so long and then, bam, it was done.
I'm not all flailing to get another (mostly because, wow, really expensive - thanks Dublin :P) but it was a good experience and I'm really really pleased with it. Yaaay!
Thanks so much for the awesome encouragement, you guys <3
