Lieeeeebgott. ♥ Nixters definitely distracted me the first time round too, but I was lucky to watch the whole thing in one go with four fangirls who were already up to their ears in it, so they made me pay attention to other people. Like early on they would go SPEEEEEEEEEEIRS!!! And I was like "Um, so what?" but I paid attention to him and then HOO BOY. Haha. I always thought Lieb was fiery and sexy, but he didn't land on my radar as an Important Character until Why We Fight, and in subsequent rewatches I really kept my eye on him. He's totally worth paying attention to!

It follows Tip and Lieb from Toccoa all the way through their lives after the war, and it's gripping and breathtaking and poignant and lovely and funny and sweet and an absolutely perfect and heartrending portrait of what war can do to a man. Pleeease read it, because your life is incomplete without it. :)
