D'AWWWWW! I love sports!hugs, they're like the epitome of joy. If sports are the only arena (lol, excuse the pun) where boys can be so emotionally demonstrative with each other like this, then I'm willing to accept that for now, BECAUSE THEY ARE SO PRECIOUS ♥________♥

Would you believe that I never SAW any of EURO2008? Or if I did it was casually, in passing? I KNOW, I KNOW. I would love to see at least that game, or others, because moar of my bbs is ALWAYS WELCOME! :D?

That gif is actually from EURO2008 but in the last match last weekend they were super cuddly as well! I have photos a couple posts back. :D They all REALLY LOVE hugging Lahm because he's 5'6" and their captain and supremely talented and they just want to PUT HIM IN THEIR POCKETS. AND SO DO I. BWEE.

There's their three first round matches (first/bee), their quarter-final match against Poland (quarter/gerpol), the semi-final against turkey (semi/gertur), and the final against spain (final/espger). The quarter, semi, and final matches are about 4GB .mkv files, but it's worth it. The group stages are regular .avis and range from 700-900MB in size.

It should also be noted that the Germany/Turkey match is spotty in places, since the international feed went down a couple times due to thunderstorms around Vienna at the time of the match, but Lahmi's goal is clear as a bell, save the changeover from radio to TV commentary. :)

In the "fan" folder, you can find the EURO fanmeile and the documentary of the team from WC2006. Both are in German with no subs, so download at your own risk. However the documentary is TOO AWESOME TO IGNORE. :)

Um... there are also more matches at the-community-that-must-not-be-named. Just search the memories for Euro 2008. If I remember correctly, the lower-res version of germany/turkey over there isn't as spotty as the BBC HD version I have.

In all seriousness, I'm actually going to d/l that one too, since I lost that in one of my two external drive crashes. *sigh*

You're welcome! I'm just glad I have those files to begin with. I actually had all the matches from EURO2008 at one point... and lost them. IT WAS HORRIBLE. There was weeping and gnashing of teef.

Question - how do you access those files from the Germany/Turkey game? When I download them they're in .rar format, but unrar says there's nothing to extract, and changing it to .avi doesn't work!

They're not .rar split, they're split with HJ-split... or whatever comparable program you would use, cause you're on a Mac, right?

Also, I should mention that the quarterfinal match with Portugal has two audio tracks - german and english. It defaults to german, so you'll have to change it to english in your media player.

no, you're probably not. I had to lock down the folder a few days ago because people over at ontd_football were passing around the link without credit. Not only does it password protect it, it hides it from view in the directory.
