Track 29 - Kane This is one of my favorite Kane songs. I'm not really sure why! It's quiet and peaceful and beautiful, and I love the lyrics. Sit on the floor and lock the door, dancing with a bottle
Toxic - Britney Spears Yes, I'm ashamed to admit that I have a silly love for Britney, left over from my highschool pop girl years. And Toxic is such a FUN song, it makes me want to get up and dance around. I also have two really neat covers, one rockin' and sung by a man in a band called Local H, and the other is a quiet live version by... well, my file says Tristan Prettyman, but I donno how accurate is. It's a young woman and one electric guitar, and she has a really nice voice. Her comments before and after the song are amusing too. Too high, can't come down, losin my head spinnin round and round. Do you feel me now?
This Ruined Puzzle - Dashboard Confessional - Yes, I also like DC, all their emoness notwithstanding. I like to sing along with their music, cause the guy has a high voice that fits my range perfectly. Anyway, this is one of my favorites - so pretty. But I've hidden a note, it's pressed between pages that you've marked to find your way back. It says, 'Does he ever get the girl?'
Tell That Mick He Just Made My List of Things to Do Today - Fall Out Boy Oh Fall Out Boy. My loves. I was so obsessed with them for months, just listening to them over and over. What's wierd is that I still haven't connected the songs with the song titles, mostly because the titles are so long and random. But this is a really fun one, and makes me bop around giddily. So bury me, in memory, his smile's your rope, so wrap it tight around your throat.
Tearjerker - Fenix Tx I've loved this song for a long time. It was on one of the first mixes I made for my dad of music I randomly got off of KaZaA. We got this album, but it wasn't awesome - this was the best song on it. What did I do wrong? Could have sung a different song... you were my tune
Thinking of You - A Perfect Circle This is my second favorite APC song (the first being Pet) and it's because of that fast bit in each verse that just makes me feel like DANCING. I don't know why, it just gets my blood pumping!....and I just looked up the lyrics to it (because I could never quite understand them) and I think it's about jerking off *FACEPALM* Oh noes, LOL. Tuggin a rhythm to the vision that's in my head, tuggin' a beat to the sight of you lying. SEE? Oh dear.
Ticket to Ride - Beatles My parents raised me listening to the Beatles, so I have quite the affection for all of their stuff. This is a fun early one :) I don't know why she's ridin so high, she oughta think twice, she oughta do right by me.
There There - Radiohead This song was used on a BSG music video that I love, and it's just so gorgeous. I think I'd really like Radiohead's stuff if I heard more of it. Just cause you feel it, doesn't mean it's there.
Think Harder, Think Dumb - Sneaker Pimps I randomly asked Sas to send me what Sneaker Pimps songs she had, and it turned out to be a pretty random selection from all of their stuff. I love all the songs she sent me, and this is a great one. They're weird, techno, completely off my normal radar, but they're just lots of fun, and I love that they have two different vocalists that do different songs, one guy and one girl. You ask me how to cure your headache - use a gun.
Take Me or Leave Me - RENT movie soundtrack I ADORE this soundtrack so much, and this song is a really fun one. Idina and Tracie totally hit it out of the park. The scene is so much fun in the movie too :D A tiger in a cage can never see the sun, this diva needs her stage, baby let's have fun!
Well that was fun! Off to do my biology reading before watching Provenance, whee! (Yes, I choose to watch reruns of SPN over catching up with House, Entourage, or Prison Break, all of which I have waiting on my computer. IT'S AN ADDICTION OKAY.)
