So I was just told today that I am tied with another student for Valedictorian of the class of 2005. That means that they'll wait til the end of the year and see who is ahead with the final grades, and that person will be valedictorian, while the other is salutatorian. But it's almost an equal honor because most years there isn't a salutatorian. And we both have to make speeches (EEEEEEK. I hate public speaking *terrified*)

So yeah. That's my big news of the day.

Great job!!! I am tied for val for my class, but they won't do anything with that 'til next year. The speech, from what I hear, isn't as bad as you'd think. Just mumble some about ambition and success and smile a lot. XD

I can't handle any sort of public speaking, regardless of what it is -_- Blahdeblah.

oh! Yeah, we did (sorry, so many people, hard to keep track -_-) but then how are they already making comparisons for valedictorian? do you just mean you're tied for first in the class right now?

Yeah, there's only 2 of us that have had all A's in honors+AP so far, since 9th grade. But it's the same thing, really.

Actually no, my school does not rank, but other schools do, in terms of... top third, bottom third, etc. not like individual numbers. But my school doesn't do that. We had no idea who was first in the class (well ok we had a good idea, but we didnt know) and we only know that both of us are first because we both need to write speeches. Our school is very low key on the competition between students academically, at least in the negative sense.
