Guys. Guys. I just watched the S2 finale of BSG.

WHOA. Yeah. That pretty much sums it up. I mean, I'm not going to have anything new to say that everyone else and their mother hasn't said. But, WHOA. There's the... year! Gone! And surrender! And hovels! And something big happened between Kara and Lee during taht time? Do we get to find out what it was? Kara's hair is long! Anders is about to die! Kara might be the cutest thing ever when she returns from caprica, so she should go there all the time and come back just to be reunited with the Adamas. Because, Bill brushing her hair away and her wrinkling her nose? cutest thing EVER. And then she was really genuinely happy to see Lee, even if she was piss drunk and that quickly devolved into one of the most painful scenes EVER. Are Lee and Dee together after that year? There wasn't any clear indication one way or the other. Lee is FAT. Gaius - I kind of hate Gaius now. I mean, before, his vanity and narcissism and selfishness were almost cute, and you loved him despite it all. But as soon as he put himself in the running for the Presidency, his likeability took a sharp nosedive, and I kind of want to stab him with sharp sporky things. Tricia Helfer is a phenomenal actress. So is the guy who plays the new cylon model, who was absolutely priceless in his therapy sessions with chief. Which, what was the point of that? I mean, beyond setting up the reveal of him being a cylon, what was the point of chief's tumble off the deep end? It all ended with him marrying cally (I'd presume) and knocking her up. Yeah, I don't know. ALl I know is I really liked the priest guy, he was frakking awesome. Um, conspiracy and corruption! Oh gods. I wish Adama would have let it slide, because they wouldn't be in this shithole. But of course, then it wouldn't be BSG either. Never take the moral low ground just because it's easier! Sigh.

That was a deeply random ramble. Sorry! It was just how things occurred to me. Gods, this show KILLS me. Is October here yet?

Hee. I was wondering what your reaction would be. I saw that episode and was just like "What...the hell...just happened?" I can't believe Kara got married of all things, though it looks like he's going to die anyway.

And I agree about Gaius. What a scum-bag. That is exactly why it was such a disaster for him to be elected president.

Isn't he great? I guess you never watched Quantum Leap. I used to be SO obsessed with that show, it was my absolute favorite before I discovered X-Files a year or so later. But, anyway, he had a main role in that, so when I saw him on BSG, I was like "It's Al!!! ::spazz::"

There's not much more of a reaction you can have than WTF?!? Haha. But it was a pretty damn good WTF. What a show. *pets show*

I do hope Anders dies. Is that wrong? Oh well.

It's a great show, you should check it out if you get the chance. I wonder if they still show it on SciFi? ::checks:: Well, what do you know! There's something on their main page about it. Apparently the fourth season DVD just came out. Now I'm tempted to buy it....

I was "Quantum Leap" addicted, so I recognized him immediately! I totally love him, and I hope we'll see him around more in S3!!

You know, if I stop and think about it, I like Anders too. He's fun and uncomplicated and sweet and also a whole lot like Starbuck. Which, damn him, makes him pretty cool. *grumbles a little* That scene where they were doing the shots was freaking adorable. But I can't help myself, I'm a rabid KaraLee shipper! *ties them together* Now children, work out your differences and then... make pretty pretty babies. Okay? Okay.

And I just did a Starbuck vid for Club Vivid and it is KILLING me that I can't share my love for her until August. (Killing me!) And fat Lee with bad hair in sympathy for everyone on the planet, hee...

I just totally second all this. I have been waiting to talk to you about it till we were both done. At first I thought the whole thing was just a lame writer issue but now it's growing on me and I see how the story as a whole can be advanced but come on! I have issues with them messing with all the relationships I was so into. Billy dead, issue. Kara loving Anders so much after so litte, issue. LeeDee, huge issue! All I can say is Grr, Arr.

I'm totally with you on being torn between the plot development and my darling characters! I tend to care about characters first, so I was really bummed that we missed an entire YEAR of relationship development. I mean, that's a lot! I want to know what on earth happened between Lee and Kara, and I assume we'll find out.

Billy dying was the actor's choice, actually, which is why it felt so pointless I think. I read an interview with him. Basically he didn't want to sign a 5 year contract so he went off to find different things to do.

LeeDee is terrible. Just terrible, I say! Le sigh.

On an entirely different note! I'm not sure if you read my post about this, but I got an internship at Michigan State University! So I'm going to be up near you (REALLY near you, if my Mapquesting is correct) for a whole 10 weeks this summer! Yay! I wanted to ask you if Jeff works anywhere near Michigan State, and if so then maybe I could live with you? This is all really up in the air, and I don't know much about the cost of living on campus and such yet, but I just thought I'd ask to see if that was even an option. Regardless, I'm so excited for it - you can go back and read the details, but it's a pharmacology lab and I'll be helping with graduate research. And I get to see you guys a lot, which is just so awesome!

I just watched this episode and had to come find what you wrote about it. Gah...I don't have words right now, just digesting all of that. Hmmm. October currently feels like a long time away!!
