So my most exciting Christmas present (after a CAR, of course - my mom's giving me her old Subaru when she buys a new (used) Saab) was season 1 of Stargate Atlantis!!!! Thanks to my awesomesauce Daddy. I watched the first episode (the two-parter) this morning and omg. I am so head over heels for Sheppard, he's just so adorable! I also adore this Ford guy, whose name I had never even heard before, and McKay is totally squishable! Both of the girls kinda got on my nerves a little teeny bit, but that's okay. Mona! We have to bounce and squeal and flail! What season's airing now? Three?

Alas, I didn't get either S4 or 5 of Angel, so now I have to shell out the cash myself. Ah well. CAR.

Another fun present was a guide to travelling Ireland, since I'm going to be LIVING there for a year - reading it was so exciting, and made me go CAN I LEAVE NOW PLZ??? Hee :D

Also, Erin sent me "The Gun Seller" by Hugh Laurie, which looks fabulous! I didn't even know he wrote, but he is absolutely hilarious, and I can't wait to read it! THANK YOU SWEETIE! *huggles*

And NOW, ladies and gentleman, I am off to watch the LAST TWO EPISODES of Dexter season 1. And considering how much ya'll were flailing about 1x12, I'm super excited! Catch ya on the flip side!

Also, GIP - this picture NEEDED to be iconned, and I love how it came out. I'll make a non personalized version later!

BEST THING OF EVER! YAYAYAYAYAY!!!! We are TOTALLY GONNA SQUEE.

Teyla and Elizabeth must be appreciated in a meta, "what must they be like" sort of way b/c the SGA writers are pretty much suckass at female characters. They have the right idea but very little of the execution. But the show is made of crack and we've got to talk to make sure you are watching Our Show, not that other show that people watch that they don't like. In Our Show, Liz and Teyla walk around pwning everyone. In Our Show, Sheppard is a deeply damaged/at times borderline sociopath, emotionally retarded GEEKY GEEK in a cool guy's body. On Our Show, Rodney and Shep are SO MARRIED.

Still stuck on: OMG YAYE! *bounces around*

[identity profile] exsequar.livejournal.com 2006-12-26 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, Our Sheppard sounds FANTASTIC. I'm already in love. Besides, he's kind of ridiculously gorgeous, so. What can I say, I'M EASY OMG.

SO MARRIED. Even two eps in!! My favorite moment thus far was when they were testing Rodney's personal shield, and he was like "Oh believe me, that wasn't the first thing we tried" and the boys look all smirky and conspiratorial and i'm like HAVE SEX ALREADY JESUS.

Ohh, where in Ireland will you be and what will you be doing? I lived in Dublin for three months one time.

[identity profile] exsequar.livejournal.com 2006-12-26 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Really! I'm going to Trinity College for a year of study abroad, for the next school year. What did you think of Dublin?? I'd love to talk to you about it!

Dublin is cool. The Trinity campus is really nice - it's in the middle of the city, close to everything, but as soon as you go inside the walls, you can hardly hear a thing from outside anymore. And the whole city is small enough that everything is easy to get to. My two favorite sites in Ireland were Newgrange and the Giant's Causeway. Only go see the Giant's Causeway on a cold, stormy, grey day.
