Happy place the 1st: An old interview that I SOMEHOW hadn't seen before, wtf, but it's SO PRECIOUS. It's just Brendon and Ryan and they are in a silly, darling mood, and the perky interviewer with her provocative questions is certainly a help :D My favorite part is when she asks them how they feel about being sex symbols, and Ryan says that what he saw in the mirror that morning certainly wasn't a sex symbol, but Brendon rebuts that "I look at Ryan and I think that he's a golden god..." And I squeak and clap happily and love them forever and ever the end :D Also, it has FALL FASHION BRENDON, aka my favorite Brendon EVER. Scarf and glasses OH MY! Toss in hobo-aesthete Ryan and I am completely sold :D There's other truly precious moments but I'll let you watch for yourself!

Happy place the 2nd (and 3rd and 4th... aw heck, mini picspam behind the cut):
So, the marvelous fantastic and amazing web-stalker shiola_shiola uncovered this gem of Brendon and Ryan in Seattle last night. ALONE. Ryan got some quality birthday time with his boyfriend after all, awwwww! YAY! My tinhat is humming with happy satisfaction \o/


I'll just quote what shiola_shiola said, since she's paraphrasing from the direct source: "Apparently this girl (god, why do people edit themselves out of shots like that?) spotted them in downtown Seattle leaving a restaurant. They were super nice and smiley. She asked where the rest of the boys were and they shrugged. OBVIOUSLY THIS GIRL WALKED IN ON THEIR VERY PRECIOUS BIRTHDAY DATE."

HEE. Also, Brendon is in his DELECTABLE hooded pea coat that he was wearing in the Contact Music interview, and eeee, I love it!! <333 (Now Ryan needs to give it a spin and my life will be complete! It'll be the new Grey Jacket of Love!)

Happy place the 3rd:

LOOK AT THEIR BABY FACES. And Ryan Ross is in baggy pants! RYAN ROSS IS IN BAGGY PANTS. This is far too precious and hilarious, omg.

Happy place the 4th:

Eeeee! I LOVE when Ryan does his crazy makeup, and look! look! He did it on Brendon and Spencer!!! *bounces with joy* I can only picture him gently holding their faces as he delicately traces out the lines, while Brendon tries not to giggle because hey, it tickles! And Spencer is as still as a rock. Mmmph yes yes yes.

The 5th:

HAI BDEN. DID YOU KNOW YOUR FEET WERE ON FIRE? YOU DID? O OKAY. <3333

Basically, I love so hard I might die of it :D

Okay, I have a question to ask my flist of much older and wiser folks. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get large amounts of money over to Ireland with me. I emailed the advisor lady at Trinity asking her advice, and she said I could open an Irish account there and wire money over from my account. However... I can't seem to figure out how the heck I do that! The "transfer funds" option at the Wachovia website is only for transferring between Wachovia accounts. This term, "wiring money," seems to get tossed around a lot, but no one seems to know exactly how you *do* it. Help??

Oh HEE, I'm glad!! When I saw it last night I was finally able to go to bed happily, because while I was glad Ryan had a happy birthday, where were his boys??? So this picture pretty much made my life. HE LOVES HIS BDEN!!!

Well, luckily it was three withdrawals per calendar year? I arrived in August of '03 and left in July of '04, so altogether it was six withdrawals. And, yeah, pretty much! Hee. I withdrew... God, I don't remember, but enough cash to last me a month or more at least and then stashed it in my underwear drawer. That part's obviously optional. *g*

(You don't even wanna know where my brain is going in response to the question of where, exactly, Jon and Spencer were in the meantime.)

3. Oh, yes, there's a little clipo posted separately that comes up after the credits, where she asks them the bonus question re: kissing, and have they. They say not, but, cf. Brendon, "We've come close". I don't have a link (I am le godawful at keeping links, and that interview came out last year, and the youtube post you linked is a repost), so maybe ask your flist? That's what I do when I am an idiot about media, and luckily I am humoured.

The 'pet' interview is easy to miss, since it's a podcast, and it's just, you know, a tiny second of precious, but I'm uploading it for you now. :)

I like your happy places. Particularly the pic of Brendon's shiny feet. In fact, I may now be in love with it.

So, I've never had much experience with transfering money between countries, but my parents do it a fair bit (between UK and NZ) and also I have a few international student friends and what I've gathered is:

Some banks are complete bastards when it comes to letting international students open accounts, but if you contact Trinity, they should have a list of ones that will give you lovely, shiny, studenty accounts (most of which come with interest free overdrafts, which is pretty handy). Then you can either a) deposit a cheque in that account- although there may be regulations about how much the cheque can be made out for, it being from a foreign account etc, etc, or- and this seems to be what most people do- just set up a transfer from your current account into your shiny new one, once you have the account details for it. It should be a case of a simple phonecall to your current bank, and you can probably arrange with them everything in advance, just leaving the account details blank. You could probably even set up a regular direct debit from your current account into your new account if you're like me and would spend everything in a month if I got it all in one go.

The point of this is- it's a fairly simple process, and I would go into your local branch to talk to someone about it. From what I've been told by people, it's something best to discuss in person, since its easier to stare blankly at a person and make them repeat themselves and websites and phone banking.

Er, sorry, my inner girl guide takes over whenever people ask questions and I feel the need to ramble at them.

UGH. I love that interview so much. Did you see the other part of it? There's another part where they talk about who's on their death list and Ryan says Hinder. Brendon says some guy in high school and Ryan's like "That's terrible. That's horrible. He's going to come to your house now" and Brendon's like "I don't care" so Ryan says "Your mom's house."

I LOVE THAT THEY WENT ON A DATE. HOW CUTE IS THAT, SERIOUSLY. BRENDON BETTER HAVE DISHED OUT THE CASH. I also love little baby Ryan, because he's cute and adorable and like all of my brothers friends when they were that age.

That's what I love about us fangirls, no lie. WE ARE NOT OBSESSIVE. WE ARE FOCUSED. YES, IT IS INDEED ESSENTIAL THAT I KNOW EVERY HAIRSTYLE RYAN ROSS HAS EVER HAD AND CAN IDENTIFY THEM BY THEIR (UGLY) SHOES. Actually, I can identify them by their HANDS, oh God. *hides face forever*

(What happens when you're writing a fic that features the line "Pete's circumcised," is that your co-author goes, "Can you link me to those naked pictures of Pete? Because I just wrote that he's cut, except I'm not sure that he is, AND IF HE'S NOT THE FANGIRLS WILL KNOW." I can date random Panic photos to about a two month span by haircut, if I can see all four of them, gah. Similarly, I can roughly stab at MCR dates by the progression of Frank's tattoos or Gerard's hair, but not as closely. FOCUS, THAT'S WHAT IT IS. *g* I do so love fangirls, for just the reasons you say.

THE FIRST ONE!!! GAH! I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!

For one thing, I adore their body language throughout it. Brendon is facing Ryan for most of the interview and keeps sort of shifting towards and away from him, it's so cute. The Hinder thing is hilarious, but my favorite bit is that they have THE SAME CELEBRITY CRUSHES. Um. I don't know why this pleases me so much, but it does. (Ooooh maybe they're actually RYAN'S but Brendon has stolen them for interview purposes, since his actual crushes are more along the lines of Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, and Gale Harold. YES.) Plus theirs are mine too! Natalie Keira and Scarlett for the WIN, seriously.

But then at the end??? When Brendon says "She's bi. Which is more fun!" *DEAD*
