Here, have some of my current happyplaces!

Happy place the 1st: An old interview that I SOMEHOW hadn't seen before, wtf, but it's SO PRECIOUS. It's just Brendon and Ryan and they are in a silly, darling mood, and the perky interviewer with her provocative questions is certainly a help :D My favorite part is when she asks them how they feel about being sex symbols, and Ryan says that what he saw in the mirror that morning certainly wasn't a sex symbol, but Brendon rebuts that "I look at Ryan and I think that he's a golden god..." And I squeak and clap happily and love them forever and ever the end :D Also, it has FALL FASHION BRENDON, aka my favorite Brendon EVER. Scarf and glasses OH MY! Toss in hobo-aesthete Ryan and I am completely sold :D There's other truly precious moments but I'll let you watch for yourself!

Happy place the 2nd (and 3rd and 4th... aw heck, mini picspam behind the cut):
So, the marvelous fantastic and amazing web-stalker shiola_shiola uncovered this gem of Brendon and Ryan in Seattle last night. ALONE. Ryan got some quality birthday time with his boyfriend after all, awwwww! YAY! My tinhat is humming with happy satisfaction \o/


I'll just quote what shiola_shiola said, since she's paraphrasing from the direct source: "Apparently this girl (god, why do people edit themselves out of shots like that?) spotted them in downtown Seattle leaving a restaurant. They were super nice and smiley. She asked where the rest of the boys were and they shrugged. OBVIOUSLY THIS GIRL WALKED IN ON THEIR VERY PRECIOUS BIRTHDAY DATE."

HEE. Also, Brendon is in his DELECTABLE hooded pea coat that he was wearing in the Contact Music interview, and eeee, I love it!! <333 (Now Ryan needs to give it a spin and my life will be complete! It'll be the new Grey Jacket of Love!)

Happy place the 3rd:

LOOK AT THEIR BABY FACES. And Ryan Ross is in baggy pants! RYAN ROSS IS IN BAGGY PANTS. This is far too precious and hilarious, omg.

Happy place the 4th:

Eeeee! I LOVE when Ryan does his crazy makeup, and look! look! He did it on Brendon and Spencer!!! *bounces with joy* I can only picture him gently holding their faces as he delicately traces out the lines, while Brendon tries not to giggle because hey, it tickles! And Spencer is as still as a rock. Mmmph yes yes yes.

The 5th:

HAI BDEN. DID YOU KNOW YOUR FEET WERE ON FIRE? YOU DID? O OKAY. <3333

Basically, I love so hard I might die of it :D

Okay, I have a question to ask my flist of much older and wiser folks. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get large amounts of money over to Ireland with me. I emailed the advisor lady at Trinity asking her advice, and she said I could open an Irish account there and wire money over from my account. However... I can't seem to figure out how the heck I do that! The "transfer funds" option at the Wachovia website is only for transferring between Wachovia accounts. This term, "wiring money," seems to get tossed around a lot, but no one seems to know exactly how you *do* it. Help??

Dude. DUDE. I WANT THAT HOODIE SO BAD, SO BAD, I CAN'T EVEN TELL YOU. Ugh. (OMG boys! Super sekrit birthday dinner, WHAT?)

What I did when I went to the States was open an account with a bank here that offers three fee-free withdrawals from any ATM in the world per year. ("Fee-free" is the important part, because omg, you'll pay out your nose for the awesome privilege of withdrawing money from a foreign country. It's RIDICULOUS.) I got an ATM card and then I just went to a bank over there and got money (enough to last me for a while) at the ATM there, and didn't have to pay extra for it. You could ask your bank if they offer a similar service?

ISN'T IT AMAZING? I've never seen anything like it and it's GOOORGEOUS. UGH BRENDON ILU. (I love how Ryan looks a bit standoffish in the picture, cause he's all "dude, our birthday date was ALMOST a total sekrit, but a FANGIRL FOUND US. FOILED!" Heeeee! I almost love that more than getting a million pictures of them goofing off together. ...almost.)

Hmmm, but how long were you in the States for? I'm over there for like 9 months, and I need to do things like pay rent and such, so I kind of need a more long term solution :-/

I was there for 11 months and it worked beautifully! But obviously anything you can do with your existing account would be more practical. Ugh, finances. *hugs*

(OMG I KNOW WTF. I may have spent an inappropriately long time staring at that picture and imagining them walking down the street later and maybe holding hands when they were sure no one was looking and omg, MY TINHAT IS SO SHINY. *flails*)

Oh wow, and three withdrawals held you over for that entire time?? What did you do, hide cash somewhere secure where you were staying? I'm confused!

(Ack! *flails with you* HANDHOLDING! And I'm sure they're staying in a hotel there, um. Wow, my mind just went PLACES. I'll stop right there :D)

Well, luckily it was three withdrawals per calendar year? I arrived in August of '03 and left in July of '04, so altogether it was six withdrawals. And, yeah, pretty much! Hee. I withdrew... God, I don't remember, but enough cash to last me a month or more at least and then stashed it in my underwear drawer. That part's obviously optional. *g*

(You don't even wanna know where my brain is going in response to the question of where, exactly, Jon and Spencer were in the meantime.)

Ahhh, I see. Hmmm. I'm not sure I'm a fan of that course of action! I'm gonna go talk to the bank and see what I can do.

(Oh heck YES I want to know! Because clearly Jon and Spencer have their OWN hotel room, and Spence's 20th birthday is verrrry soon, and geez, what are they SUPPOSED to do while Brendon and Ryan are off being boyfriendy, huh? Why, FOLLOW THEIR EXAMPLE OF COURSE! Double OTP for the WIN!)
