So it turns out I'm not really gone at all. I am here at my cousins', but it turns out they have a cable router, so I'm able to hook up my laptop to the internet very easily. So I'll be around, not nearly as often as before (i.e. ALL FRIGGIN DAY) but at least once a day. Usually late at night for me (which kinda sucks since that's like 6 AM for most of my girls... :() but I'll try to be on at other hours to catch you guys, neb sas and steff! *hugs*

Things to talk about...

Last night, we went over to... um, she used to be my aunt, but then she got divorced from my uncle, so now she's my cousin's mom :P anyway, HER house, with my uncle (her ex-husband) and their son, with my brother and sister, for a bonfire! We had s'mores, which are OMG SO GOOD, I had forgotten because it had been so long, but ohhhh man, so amazing. And then we had left over glow sticks and firecrackers from the fourth of July, and there were these short thick glowsticks, green orange and red, and then those long thin necklace ones in blue... so naturally we made lightsabers! We reenacted various RotS scenes, with the one holding the red handle being the bad guy, and the one with the green Yoda or Obi, and it was fantastic fun. I, being Obi, killed my sister (as Ani) and yelled I LOVED YOU. And then I as Palpatate Palpatine beat my brother as Yoda into submission! Mwahaha, bow before me. Then somehow it degenerated into light saber battling while singing the Elephant Love Medley from Moulin Rouge! wtf? It was a silly night. But fun.

And and and biggest of all, FIREFLY. OMG FIREFLY. My cousin has the DVD set and we just watched the first two eps and omg I'm in love. It has the snarky, awesome, intelligent humor of Buffy, with a different kind of vibe to it, more gritty and stuff. It's really quite awesome. Nathan Fillion (as Mal) is super gorgeous, he actually reminds me of Gale Harold a lot, which is a HIGH compliment. Just look at the icon. So pretty! Now, I haven't latched onto any slash yet, although Mal/Jayne would be pretty frickin sweet. I don't know if there is a slash fandom within this show... anyone know? In fact I'd like to know anything about this fandom, as I'm about to dive into it headfirst ^_^ It's exciting that there's a movie coming out, so I'll have watched the show just in time to see it! Yay.

Umm, I'm tired, so that's it for now. *waves*

Firefly is awesome. I'm convinced it would have been Joss' best work if Fox had just had the patience to let it run. The fandom as far as I can tell is still small, but the show definitely has a strong cult following. I'm not as involved in it as I am in Buffy and Angel fandom, but I've come across quite a bit of meta and fic including some Mal/Jayne. I have to admit, that as much as I am a slasher when it comes to Angel, Joss got me completely with his main canon het couple in Firefly, which I'm not going to tell you about because you're only two episodes in, but yes. Anyway. There is definitely slash potential there and an active fandom. And the movie is going to be a thing of beauty, oh yes.

Being now 10 eps in, I think you *must* mean Mal/Inara, but I'm not certain yet. They certainly hint at it enough though, don't they :P It really is so brilliant, I hope that once the movie comes out there will be a resurgence of interest and maybe the show will get restarted? That would be lovely *hopes*

Mal/Jayne would be theoretically hot (now that I've seen more, I know them better, and have more idea of what it would entail) but Jayne is just such an... over the top character that it's hard to see him with anyone. Ya know? So physically, mmm, hotties, but not so much relationship material ^_^ I do however like the het relationships that are shaping up (Kaylee/Simon, awww) so all is good! Thanks for the info :D

I remembered that you've talked about Firefly a couple of days ago, so I came back and checked this post. Well, I've *just* become addicted to Firefy! I've watched one DVD per day in the last three days (OMG only three episodes left, that makes me sad..). Anyway, I agree so much - OMG SO GOOD! This show is brilliant, and I can't believe there are so few eps. :(

There is definitely slashy potnetial for Mal/Jayne, though like you said not so much as far as relationships are concered.. But I have to say that I also saw some Kaylee/Inara. :) Though Kaylee and Simon are just the cutest thing ever. Not like me to like a het couple so much, but it happens (ie. X-Files. :)

Yes, I'm babbling. I'm just so excited about this show right now cause I've *just* discovered it.

Firefly is so awesome! I've only watched one more episode than you, and I'm so sad it's almost over.... it's so enjoyable!

I think Kaylee/Simon is adorable, although Simon is a stuck up prig sometimes *grins* I'm actually not such a slash-whore, you know, I enjoy it when it's there and I really feel it (Mulder/Krycek, oh man), but I don't HAVE to see it all over the place, and I enjoy het just as much ^_^

Babble away! Who's your favorite character? I'm in love with Mal, he's so awesome. Goofy and badass and sweet and witty by turns... he's just got everything. Also, I think he's gorgeous. Do you think he's gorgeous? Mmm :)
