i'd seen this before, but i sort of have a hard time buying that we're interpreting it right. I mean, if he is going to get MCR ink why not get the whole band? It just seems sort of fanon-y to say for sure that they are the swallows.

Has Frank ever talked about the meanings of those particular tattoos? I know he's done interviews where he discusses other ones.

Well. It certainly LOOKS accurate. You definitely can't mistake the X's on the eyes for anything else, and the other swallow seemingly has a black band across its face. I mean, I'm not saying it means that they're IN LOVE ZOMG (though they so are. what?) but rather I think it kind of *does* represent the whole band, since those two looks were kind of the front for the band's aesthetic for a while? I think it's a really cool and subtle way to show his dedication and devotion to his darling band without scrawling MCR RULES!!!1! across his chest or something.

But no, as far as I know he hasn't talked about this particular detail.
