Last night's Supernatural was UBER AWESOME (and trust me, no one's more surprised than me that I feel that way - yum yum crow, whatever, I still have issues with stuff) but one of my favorite things was this:

SAME PLACE OR SAME PLACE?!??? My heart seriously leapt when I saw that raised track curving into the distance, that threadbare path worn into the neglected ground.

Four years ago, Sam and Dean said goodbye to their father, and they never saw him whole again.

Today, Sam and Dean came back together, for sheer love of one another, because they have learned, once and for all, that separated Winchesters are weakened Winchesters. "We keep each other human."

You cannot tell me that parallel was unintentional. Fuck me, when this show is good, this show is GOOD.

One thing this show has always been really, really good at is emotional continuity and follow through. They really have a sense of symmetry. That was such a great scene.
