So you've all probably heard about the new plans for the userinfo design. Basically, it looks like CRAP. Complete and utter crap. And it's functionality isn't improved at all! *sighs* Oh LJ, I do love you so, but why must you insist on messing on the things that are already fine, and ignoring the problems you do have?

txvoodoo has created a poll asking people how old they are, in an effort to show that LJ isn't just a teen hangout and that there should be no push to be more like MySpace (and that's something I can totally get behind - I may be a teen myself, but MySpace makes me want to GAG). So take the poll HERE, especially if you're of the relatively older (25 and up) set! (ETA: If you go to the link for the poll, there's also info and links about the changes, if you haven't heard about them already)

I think the new userinfo works fine when you dont have a lot written/a lot of interests/friends.
It looks somehow more cleaner/organised. I really like the table idea, but most of the time the tables are not proportioned. Either one Site is longer than the other or wider.

MySpace GAH. I don't want elJay to be like them T_T

But the thing is a LOT of people have a lot of any one of those three (I have a lot of all three!) and so that just royally fucks it all up. The huge block of blue links on the left of mine? NOT attractive in the SLIGHTEST. *sighs*

*lol* Ya, I know. Even mine looks a bit weird :/ If they stick to it they have to make both sides the same length/width. And they should allow us to move things arround.

I like the header. The navigation above it is kinda useless O.o

I couldn't agree more. I've got a myspace solely to keep up with Kane and Steve Carlson, and the thought of moving their makes me feel queasy!

It somehow works for me because I have this table and it's pretty thin so it fits in that little space on the right, but still it looks like crap.

Yeah mine works better than some people, because the table is a set width so it keeps my info from getting all scrunched up. But STILL. Ugggggly.

why is it that people always try to fix what isn't broken *groans*...question though, im not noticing any changes to my profile...so are they only changing the paid accounts?

They haven't made the changes yet. The changes will affect everyone, but there will be an option to turn off the new layout.

Yikes, so that's what it was. I feel so out of the loop. ugh it looks simply terrible. Why do they have to change LJ?? I wouldn't want it to be a blog. It doesn't look that bad for mine because I don't have anything much in my user info but ugh...

okay, i hate the new design, it takes the focus away from my PRETTY little info thingy. GRRR.
