Silver lining

So I just called to get my Napster subscription canceled (the one I didn't know about, that I've been paying for for 7 months *facepalm*) and I was at first very short with the rep because, dude, I am pissed about what Napster did. They NEVER notified me that I was subscribed, nothing. But then he put me on hold to put the cancellation through, and I thought to myself... I KNOW people who are service reps, and they do NOT have it easy, and they also are not to blame for what the stupid company did to me. So when he came back, I apologized for my tone, and thanked him, and he wished me a fantastic day.

Now I feel all warm and fuzzy. See? Peace and love, people, peace and love!

service reps really do have it rough...i feel so bad for them sometimes, but then again they knew what they were getting into....so was it cancelled ok?

Well, yes, since I thanked him and everything. That's what I was thanking him for.

And "they knew what they were getting into"? That's a pretty terrible attitude - people who take that job take it because it PAYS and they have no other options. Just because they're in that situation doesn't mean they deserve and kind of bad treatment.
