NEW LOST YAYE
LOST thoughts during each commercial break!
Break 1
OMG. HAHAHAHAHA. I was actually dying with laughter. For a while I was like, am I on the right channel? Is this a commercial? But no. THAT'S THE EFFING HATcH!!! hahahahaha. SO funny. And SO unpredictable! Where the hell is he getting all that shit? How does he have electricity? Is he like stuck in a time warp, with the ancient computer and the record player? Oh man. SO GREAT. Ahahaha. Excellent! I LOVE THIS SHOW.
Break 2
EEEK. Creepy, creepy Walt!!!! All covered in water and whispering something different from what his mouth – OMG SERENITY TRAILER – is doing. (Eeee, Serenity trailer! Hee) And Shannon’s looking pretty battered, isn’t she? Also, I think I’m gonna be a Sayid/Shannon fan.
Locke/Jack showdown is gonna be awesome. Quarantine? Oh dear. And while Locke is pretty cool, I still love my doctor. Also? That girl he saves and then marries is already engaged? Ooooh. The plot thickens. Unless of course she was referring to her hypothetical marriage and she’s one of those girls whose life ambition is to have a pretty wedding. Bleh.
And ALSO – Jack with HAIR! Hahahaha. Very funny. At least he covered it up immediately with a cap. But the makeup really did make him look younger, it was amazing!
Break 3
Now, I missed the beginning of the little powwow because my roommate and her friend came in and started talking loudly, not even seeming to notice that I was watching TV. Thanks bunches.
But ANYway. It’s a Jack episode! I’m so unspoiled that I didn’t even know that. It’s really cool and interesting seeing Jack being the blunt and heartless one while his dad is the one counseling him to be kinder. Such a turnaround from how we know the whole thing ends. So we see that maybe his dad wasn’t the huge jerk we were led to think he was, and Jack maybe has some pretty big character flaws. Loved hearing Hurley’s story, and confirmation that he was indeed in a psyche ward (more on that later I’m sure), but Jack’s response was so... blah.
Also interesting that Locke was indeed having time with "Jack’s girl," since Kate promised to have Jack’s back but now I think she’s being swayed to Locke’s way of thinking a bit.

The Jack hair made a *much* longer appearance this time, haha.

KAAAAAAAAAATE! KATEKATEKATEohgodKATE. *whimpersandbitesnails* I LOVE Kate (I’m alone in that, I don’t know why) and she…she… KATE! Wahhhhh.
Okay. Backing up. Jack’s future wife’s current fiancé = MAJOR asshole. All he cares about is sex, and how much he’ll have to take care of her. Bastard. He’s gonna wipe his hands of the whole thing, abandon her, and Jack will take care of her emotional wounds as well.
Jack/Kate, awwwww! "If you weren’t here Jack..." *sniffle* Such a beautiful moment, and then she stands up and basically says she’s betraying him and going down the hatch with Locke. Ouch. And "live together, die alone"? I don’t get the relevance of that, when she says she’s going to help Lock in case HE dies, in which case he wouldn’t be dying alone... oh I’m confused. But I looove J/K, awwww.
But… KAAAAAATE! *cries*
On the bright side, maybe she’ll get to chill out to old records and drink power smoothies.
....I doubt it.

Backing up again. That guy Desmond was TOTALLY flirting with Jack. Hee. And he was pretty cute too! I liked him. He had an Aussie accent, right? Jack wasn’t in Aussie land just then, right? A coincidence, I guess.
That painting on the wall definitely had some of THE numbers painted on it, right?
That music! So incongruous. I love it. Well, I don’t love the music, but I love how it was used.
More and more mysteries, argh! But more information too! Which is good.
Jack cares SO much about Kate, she’s always what he’s thinking about. Aw. Love them.
My thoughts are getting more and more disjointed.... Here comes the end!

Oh. My. God. Jack said “YOU.” EGAD. Wait. WAS THAT DESMOND?!.... Or am I delusional? That just occurred to me. He wasn’t in very clear light either time... I’m not sure if it’s him! HELP!
Let’s see, other thoughts… wiggly toes, yes, sweet and all that, I still like Jack with Kate better... Jack cares so much for Kate, again, aw, love him...
Why wouldn’t Jack put down the gun? He had it trained on Locke, not the other guy with the gun, so isn’t that like... anti productive? He’s almost acting like he DOES want Locke’s brains blown out. Hm. But Locke can’t die! That wouldn’t be kosher.
Overall an AWESOME premiere. I LOVE it. Not quite enough diversity of character representation, but I’m sure that will be remedied, since each will get an episode focusing on them. I want to know what happened to Sawyer, Jin, and Michael! :( It will probably be something mundane like they get on the charred remains of the raft and drift back to the island. Or something. Er.
I love Lost!!! :D
Random observation, the "quarantine" sign we saw in the show was black, while the one in the promo was red. And shot at a different angle. Oops!

Agreement on the Locke/Kate versus Jack/Kate thing. It was interesting to see her so easily swayed to the 'dark side'. And muehehe...noooo, Shannon, don't take a bath. Roll around in s'more mud, don't comb your hair, and have more hallucinations! Crazy!Dirty!Shannon is my kind of Shannon. :D

Oh, Kate's "live together, die alone" comment was just her way of summing up Jack's earlier speech from last season. "If we live together, we don't have to die alone." So she's remembered his little speech all this time. *cues the 'Awwww!' crowd*

Yes, yes! 'Tis Desmond. Two major clues: Desmond's "see you in another life" comment to Jack after he looked at his ankle. Very foreshadow-y. And then Desmond saying "brother" in the hatch. Dun, dun, DUN.
And muahahaha. You know, BOTH of them pointing guns at Locke didn't even register. You're right, dude, how silly is that? "Drop the gun, or I'll blow his brains out!" And Jack's like, "Um. Okay? That was my plan, anyway."
Oh, and you forgot a major Jack/Kate moment! Well, I suppose it's a Jack/Kate moment. I loved it, but only because I love continuity. When Kate was going down in the hole, she was counting to ten. From the pilot, remember? Because Jack told her it would make her less scared. *cues the 'Awwww!' crowd once again*

By the way, the torrent started going much better, I took down my firewall and now it's 60% done, going at 9 kb/s. Not excellent, obviously, but it should be done by tomorrow, and it's two episodes in one file anyway (I guess the pilot was in two parts). Yay :)
