Veronica Mars is a marshmallow!

So I just finished watching the first episode of Veronica Mars, yay! I really liked it a lot, and I'm excited to continue. Me and my friends decided to be good little girls and do some homework before we watch the next one :P We are so boring! But anyways, yes, thoughts!

First of all, the main thing that I am already spoiled for in this show is that Veronica and Logan get together (or at least kiss) and that's giving me a strange perspective, seeing as how they're not exactly on good terms right now. I do find Logan visually adorable (although he's an ass so far), and Logan is like my favorite guys name ever, so I do not object to him eventually becoming a positive character. Beyond that, however, I know pretty much nothing about the show. I knew the big question was "Who killed Lilly Kane?" but that's about it. And I'm glad!

So far, Veronica seems a bit too large for life. She has the answer for everything, and is everywhere at once. She doesn't seem like she's a high school girl at all. Then again, she's been through a lot for someone so young - murder of best friend, being drugged and raped, her mother skipping town, and her dad publicly losing his job - so I suppose that would make someone mature very rapidly. I will reserve any judgements on her for after further watching, because clearly you don't get a full sense of a character in the first episode.

Overall, I really liked it! characters are good, nice and colorful. Good writing, which of course I expected since everyone says that. I'm glad to finally be getting into this fandom, I'm sad I missed out on it the first time 'round. Another thing, the visual style is very, very cool - the colors are quite saturated, and it has a very nice warm feel to it, but cooler in some of the flashbacks. It just works really, really well.

Yay, new fandom :D Always exciting!

Ive only seen one episode, it was decent.

Doesnt it run against Lost? Not very good.

yes, it's on at the same time as Lost, which *stabstabstab* SO dumb. The fandoms overlap a LOT. Many people were pissed something fierce. But most of them picked one to watch on TV and then download the other via torrents. Not too terrible.

I don't know if I'll finish the first season in time to start watching the current one. Not that it matters, like you said, since it's on the same time as Lost.

Are the TV shows watched in college tracked? If so, watch Veronica on TV. Poor show needs the ratings. I wonder if its still doing less than 2 million per episode this year? Faced with Lost, it probably is....

Is Logan the guy that was in Just Shoot Me?

My friend said something about one of the actors being in Just Shoot Me, but as I haven't seen it, I wouldn't know, and I don't remember who she was talking about.

Ratings are only tracked in houses that have agreed to have Nielsens trace their TV watching. So no, I don't think so. And anyway, i really don't think I'll be caught up in time for this season. Maybe next season though (if there is one! *crosses fingers*)

Yay for Veronica Mars! :)

I got into the show a little late, but now I'm completely hooked. (Downloaded all the episodes over the summer, and started watching S2 when it started.)

Veronica, at times, is a bit of a super-girl, but she also makes a lot of mistakes and has some pretty major personality flaws. (Like she has a big thing about revenge and "eye for an eye" and all that, which you will see later.) So, the pilot is just setting up how super she is, but you really get to see that she lacks perfection in other areas throughout the season.

And Logan! I love Logan. He is just a really tortured screwed-up character, and I love that about him. He has a lot of bad things in his life, but deep down you will see he's a good person. He's just filled with angst. Hee. (He is my favorite character on the show.)

And now I will stop rambling. :)

Hey now! I am quite insulted, and that's unfortunate for you: I can kill you with my pinky my brain--well okay, I can smack you around a little.
