carliuuu just posted videos from the show in Caracas on

chemicalromance and this one just cracks me the fuck up. He talks about how they're going to make a new record after their last tour of the US (tear! I'm not going to see them for AGES :() and he says "It's called 'Die Period, Slow Period'." (At around 00:36 in the video.) Or SOMETHING like that, but you get the gist! He always makes fun of the Panic children! Ahahahaha. GERARD. Shut uppppp.

Does he dislike them for real?

He has made comments before about how MCR doesn't need a troupe of circus performers on stage with them! "Unlike SOME people" was implied. So I'm going to go with... he probably thinks they're pretentious kids who are too big for their britches, and who are making music for the wrong reasons. *Shrugs* He's entitled to his opinion, I just kind of wish he would stop sending these little barbs their way. Sometimes Gerard Way is an asshole! *hands*

Whatever, I'm not amused. He can have an opinion but I'm never a fan of artist talking shit about other artists.

I definitely remember seeing an interview where Gerard said he liked Panic! because they were doing something interesting and new, or something liken that. Sadly, I don't have a link right now. But I definitely think he mocks with affection.

Oh I think it's totally mockable, and the title of the album is pretentious and ridiculous! It's still an assholish thing to do, mocking another band on stage, but it just makes me want to give him a pop in the arm and giggle and say OH, GERARD. <3

HMMM while i do think he was totally making fun of them (oh, whatever, we do it too), i don't think he has a problem qith them or anything. i remember reading something in rolling stone a while back. there were these different musicians predicting the outcome of something, the vmas, maybe, and gerard was one of them, and he said that he enjoyed their (panic's) music and that he hoped that they'd win. idk. IDK.

Hmm, I didn't know about that! That is quite interesting, and nice to hear. Maybe he likes to poke fun at them as an indirect way of joshing with his buddy PWentz. And anyway, it's not like 95% of the audience knew what the fuck he was going on about! I certainly don't think there's any bad feelings here, just some silly mockage. Whether it's fond or barbed is hard to tell though, but I hope it's the former!
