THIS. MOTHERFUCKING THIS.

Like, seriously. That is pretty much my philosophy on anything media related in a nutshell. If I can TELL that the people behind something care about it just as much as I do, when I can TELL that they've poured all their energy and talent and tenacity into it, I just find completely impossible to write it off. Yeah, there might be a few things that disappoint me sometimes, that don't ring true, but being all "WAH WAH IT WAS FUCKING HORRIBLE BLAHHHH IT SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN MADE WHAT A FUCK UP WANK WANK WANK"....god, I just find it so unbelievably rude and distasteful.

GAH. AND NOW I'M FREAKING OUT BECAUSE THERE'S NO WAY I CAN SEE IT FOR THE THIRD TIME THIS WEEKEND :((( I WANT TO HELP, MR. HAYTER! I REALLY DO! *weeps*

I just finished reading this and I am proud of myself for making plans to see a matinee of it on Friday. =D If I can get a third viewing in, I will.

That whole letter was spot on.

I will be going to see it again...I'm so glad he wrote this. He gave a bit more life to the film with this letter since he showed us how much work and love it took to make this film.

I loved the movie up until the ending. I miss the squid. :-(

(I know, I know, if they'd kept it, all anyone would've been able to say about the movie is "giant space squid," which does not make a good review.

Sort of like how all you hear now is "giant blue penis." ;-))
