I'm sorry, I'm totally spamming all your flists... but no one's online to talk to, and I seem to have a lot of thoughts tonight.

I just finished reading Brokeback Mountain, the short story, and... wow. It was beautiful. I was wondering at first how they would make a short story into a movie, but I realize that the story is very very condensed - one paragraph will describe a whole month, and such. Lots and lots of room to maneuver. But it's a gorgeous story, and I can tell you now, I'm going to SOB during this movie. Absolutely sob my eyes out. I better see it alone, heh. For anyone who wants to read it, you can find it here: Brokeback Mountain. It's definitely worth a read.

One thing I did note is that the two men in the story (Ennis and Jack) were described as rather homely (Jack has buck teeth, for example) and all I can say is that Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhall are, er, anything but homely :P But that's ok with me, lol.

Well, I have to start packing my stuff. I'm leaving this house for good tomorrow, when I go over to my dad's and really pack everything, then spend Thursday night there before driving out on Friday. *neeps* I'm so scared. I also have to finish my summer reading book, blah.

You spam my flist, I spam your mail-account. ^^

Is that really the whole story? Posted for free at amazon? Wow. I've saved it as a word-doc and will read in the next days. Perhaps. Maybe... You know, my time-problem and all. I have to finish Nightrunner III (Traiters Moon in english, right? *not sure)

It's really the whole story! As you might have seen, it's a preview for an audiobook of a bunch of short stories, and that's just one of the short stories, so I guess we got lucky that they chose that one for the preview ^_^ It's amazing, and doesn't take very long to read, less than an hour. Definitely do get to it at some point :)

Traitor's Moon, yes ^_^ I'm chugging my way through that too, loving it!
