Sometimes I wonder about how much fandom means to me. About how happy utterly fictional characters can make me, usually because I'm happy about them WITH someone else. About how much time it can take in my life, and yet there doesn't seem to be ENOUGH time for all the love that is fandom. And then someone goes and perfectly articulates everything I think and love about fandom, and what a true phenomenon it is.

Read this. It will give you warmfuzzies, and maybe even bring tears to your eyes.

Fandom is you in Germany and me in the US...a friend behind a face in London. Fandom talks past timezones and accents and backgrounds.
