Dude, Dean comes in the door with a sixpack. And Sam was sleeping. So, is it the middle of the night and Dean got thirsty? Anyway, the boys drinking in the room together is now CANON, my dear friends. Yes. They get pleasantly buzzed and then have hot sweaty sex. Mmmph. Also, Sam all sweaty post-vision in a tshirt on the floor is really fucking hot, yis it is.
They're using the music from the end of Bloodlust!! Or a version, anyway. I love the twanginess. It's very unique and really pretty and I love it!! This show BETTER release a soundtrack of SOME kind. Either instrumental or cock rock. The music is AMAZING.
Holy fuck. I love that Dean knows all the Marine ranks, and the tattoos that signify them. My heart twinges. Dean loved and worshiped his father so much. Nngh.
To be honest, the dialogue in the scene that was in the director's cut (where they find Croatoan on the pole) is really slow and draggy. Their pacing just seems completely off. I dun like it. I do however love the final line, for some reason: "If I were gonna massacre a town, that'd be my first step."
The cinematography on this show is AMAZING. And you know it really is if I notice it, cause I definitely don't usually.
Heeee. I love how Sam's actions on the steps outside the house directly mirror Dean's. Look to the side, walk to the other side. It's hotass. And the angle they're shot from? Makes them look like absolute GIANTS.
I actually like the doctor chick quite a bit. She seems very real. Pam isn't bad either. Definitely not distractingly annoying or anything. Good guest stars for this situation.
God I love how the camera swings around while the doctor's talking to Beverly and reveals Sam and Dean just LURKING. It's seriously hotass. Also?? "We gotta talk." Dean's voice makes my panties catch on FIRE. It's very low and intimate and gruff. Nnnngh.
Mmmmmm "My partner will stick around, keep you safe." And the SHOULDER CLAP. Akldjsfjkdhf. They're so... yeah. I got nothing.
Oh man, the baby carrier in the bloody car breaks my heart :(
"Heh, well you are a handsome devil, but I don't swing that way, sorry." - WHY DONT I BELIEVE YOU DEAN. I mean seriously. He's got this smirky look on like I'm just joshin around, I TOTALLY swing that way, but not for virus-infected loonies. Just gigantic emokids. *HEARTS*
Askjfhskdjfh. "Yeah I bet you would. *SQUEEEEAL*" I love how Dean sticks his tongue out between his teeth just as he guns it. It's fucking HOT, yo. And the car, the swerving! Gyaaaaah. SO HOT.
I LOVE the Marine guy. His standoff with Dean is AWESOME. I love that Dean manages to pull a gun even with the guy staring at him. COMPETENCE!KINK LIKE WHOA.
I love Sam's gentle "I understand" voice. He's amazing.
"SAMMY! OPEN UP!" *hearts forever and a day*
*snorts* "Hey, I'm gonna have a word" and Dean basically DISMISSES the marine guy. Like, me and Sammy need some alone time, you go 'way now kthx. They do that I think three times this ep? Go off alone to discuss things? Everyone else must be starting to wonder! *giggles* But god, I just love how much of a TEAM they are. Even when they're disagreeing, they still are together on this. Except of course when Dean LOCKS SAM IN A ROOM, but even then Dean ends up listening to Sammy. Ohhhhhhh Winchesters. BEST BOYS EVER.
How does "demonic germ warfare" explain why Sam's having visions? are they just assuming that it's warfare by THE demon? Because his visions are pretty damn specific. Hm.
I kind of love when Dean licks his lips.
On second thought the women are a bit wimpy. Ah well.
Three bullets? Really Dean? He's seriously scaring me a bit.
Sam/Knife OTP! Dean/Shotgun OTP! Seriously.
And Sam checking out Dean with his eyes as they're loading the weapons? Yeah. I don't even need to say it.
I love when they're supposedly having a discussion with Mark, they just talk to each other and he kinda stands and listen. I mean, they never look away from each other and everything. *happy swoony sigh*
The "awkward" line really bothers me this time. YOU KILLED HIS PARENTS, DEAN. *sighs* He's so, so broken. God.
And then Dean physically manhandles Sam out of the way. 1) HOT. 2) OH GOD. So, so so so BROKEN!
Dean tapping the magazine on the gun is right up there with him unloading the magazine in Bloodlust on the HOT scale. sdfjkdsf. That's one thing that truly pushes my buttons. The assembling or dismantling of guns. NO I DONT KNOW WHY.
Knowing who this guy, Duane, turns out to be, and knowing that this actor might be around a while is making me pay more attention to him. I like him! The actor's pretty hot, and he's pretty talented too, from what we've seen so far.
I really love that this was a TRUE TRUE edge of my seat moment. I DIDNT KNOW what was going to happen, at ALL. And they draw it out just long enough. Really, really well done, and it hurts my heart that Dean is so far gone that he can make me wonder that. Wow.
I wish they'd gotten a chance to use the homemade bombs! *pouts* This episode was rather disappointingly lacking in action, despite the awesomecakes promo.
Oooomfg. I LOVE the unspoken communication. When the doctor comes and asks if she can untie the guy, Dean looks at Sam, Sam gives him "the nod", but instead of responding, Dean just looks at Sam for a second and then looks down. Sam makes a mini bitchface and answers the lady. SO MUCH in that silence. And the fact that they check with each other immediately is just... wow. Even that decision neither of them can make alone. Always checking in, always.
"We need more alcohol." In OTHER words, we need to be drunk to have this convo, Sammyboy! Hence the beers at the end of the ep, heehee. *loves*
Mmmm she slices his chest. Why is that so hot?
And then Sam reaches his hand out and Dean reaches back to help him up! DAMN MARK FOR STOPPING THEM! We could have gotten some hand holding! *siiiiigh* But instead we get WIBBLEY FACES OF DOOM. So I'm not really complaining :D
Okay. This scene? This scene is... incredible. It's not exactly what I'd hoped for, but still. Twice Mark tries to convince Dean to come; twice Dean just LOOKS at him, and Mark subsides at what he sees there. Absolute conviction. It's just... Dean has NO QUESTION about this. It's not even an option. I would have liked them to emphasize a bit more that Dean didn't want to go on BECAUSE Sam wouldn't be there, instead of just implying this is a convenient stopping point, but still. My heart, my heart, my heart. Definitely cried the second time around. Like SAMMY! Oh, oh Sammy. Oh boys!
I love that Dean whips out the brother card, because in this situation who the fuck CARES about their cover? "Brother" equals the world to Dean, and to use any other word would have rang false. No, he's speaking from his deepest core right here, and damn can they hear it. Wow.
I love that after Dean says "Take my car" he has to pause and take a breath to accept what he just said, aww.
JENSEN IS SO FUCKING AMAZING I CANT EVEN. He makes it seem so EFFORTLESS. Gah.
And I LOVE the doctor's "Uuuhm... oh!" in response to the "we're not marshals" thing. Cute! :D
Dean can't meet Sam's eyes! Oh, the woobie! And and and "For the last time Sam, no." That "no" comes out TINY and BROKEN and you expect it to be all vehement but he's just breaking at the thought of his brother dying, and god. I just... GOD.
"Who says I want to?" YEP HI THAT'S MY SHOW IT'S CANON MMHM. *DRAWS SO MANY HEARTS*
I love that Dean pulls the gun out of his pants (HE KEEPS A GUN THERE TOO GUYS OMG) before sitting down because I had wondered how they sat down with a fucking GUN in their pants! Lmao. I mean besides the one that's usually there ;)
I'm so, so glad that there was at least one big thing I wasn't spoiled for - Duane being a minion. That was awesome! And the bowl-talking was much creepier than when Meg did it - I loved that he dipped his whole hand in. Bodes well if he's going to be our baddie for a while! And I'm curious - by last of the tests, did he mean tests on SAM or tests on the CHILDREN. Because I assume if there had been more of these total town disappearances, Sam and Dean would have known about it. Maybe? Hmmmm. Well at least we've got a long time to ponder on that! :P
Eeee this last scene is amazing, despite how it ends. I love that they're just chilling at this random picturesque lake together, drinking companionably. It's adorable. And and both of them are just perfect in this scene. Sam isn't being obnoxious in his pushing, just cute and persistent and little-brotherly. VERY little-brotherly. It's ADORABLE.
Okay. "I just think we oughta... *long pause* go to the Grand Canyon." This line is followed up by the most affectionate, gentle, loving gaze at Sam EVER. And it's just... "let's go settle down somewhere, you and me Sam." MORE IN LOVE THAN I CAN EXPRESS!!!!!
"See if WE could bang Lindsay Lohan." 1) Ew. 2) WE!!!!!! TOGETHER!!! *so fucking dead*
Wait, so what is Dean saying that he promised John? To protect Sam? Would telling him this secret be breaking that promise, i.e. not protecting Sam? Hmmm!
The music on this last scene is GORGEOUS, ethereal and haunting and oooooh. gives me the chills.
*SIGHS SO MUCH*
Okay Kripke. My hate for you is dialed back to an extreme frustration, because this episode, upon rewatching, was FAB. I can't even comprehend the amount of brotherly love. EVERY SINGLE FRAME, people. I just. Yeah.
So, in a much happier place having rewatched :D Yay!
*takes a deep breath* We can make it through the hiatus together, right guys??? *clings*

Hee, this is the second time Dean's said something like that. I remember in Faith, after meeting Layla, he said something like, she can work us some mysterious ways or whatever. Heh. US. We. The result is the same-- me=ded! ;)

SAM AND DEAN SHARE GIRLS. IT'S CANON NOW, ANNE. I KNEW IT.
\o/

NO IDEA, but dude, like I said. Sam's vision "saved" Meg 2.0. That...can't be a good sign for their origins and purpose. But, I mean, what? All the other times Sam has been able to do ostensibly good works from the info given in the visions so I AM CONFUZ'D.
I am SO HAPPY I was unspoiled for this ep. DAMN.

Hee. I <3 you.

I *loved* that too, so so much. See, I think though, that it would make sense that Dean wouldn't want to emphasize the "without Sammyness" of it at that point, because how terrible would that make Sam feel? We know it in our hearts.
I love that Dean whips out the brother card, because in this situation who the fuck CARES about their cover? "Brother" equals the world to Dean, and to use any other word would have rang false.
Oh God, hold me.

Oh, I KNOW. IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE THAT. I KNOW I KNOW.
So, in a much happier place having rewatched :D Yay!
I am guessing this will be the case for me as well. I always love your commentary, hon.

Me neither ♥
We could have gotten some hand holding! *siiiiigh* But instead we get WIBBLEY FACES OF DOOM.
And somehow I think that no physical contact could have beaten what was said with their faces in that scene.

Hee, I still have to see them that way, I keep seeing Meg ever since he pulled out that
phonecupHow does "demonic germ warfare" explain why Sam's having visions?
After several rewatches, I think the vision simply served to draw Sam in so they could test him, which then would suggest THE demon can control the visions or even his spawn can, huh.
