HEEEEEE. That was just the cap on an episode that fucking BLEW MY MIND. I just - we got so many AMAZING moments. Sam being crazy slick and knowing gun types and having a CODE with his BROTHER and Ava's all "OMGWTFBBQ" and it's a fascinating look into just how far removed Sam and Dean are from "normal people," and how Sam doesn't even think about it anymore! He's completely lost his compartmentalization that he must have achieved during his years at Stanford.

ANYway. The moment where Dean CARESSED SAM'S CHEEK?? Yeah, I've never been so turned on in my LIFE. You laugh, but I swear to GOD. Jesus fucking christ. If they ever actually, yknow, HUGGED? I would go SPLAT. Just like vision!Sammy.

AVA IS FANTASTIC. And I love that we're clearly going to see more of her, given the end of the episode! (Was she possessed? Was she taken by force by a demon? Duh duh duhhh! A real mystery that I'm so excited to see unfold!) But she was so spirited and snarky and adorable and HILARIOUS. And bounced off Sam really well :D I will not object if she becomes Sam's love interest, given that she's now, yknow, single *facepalm*

GORDON WAS AMAZING. He's so psychopathic, but perfect because he doesn't THINK he is. He thinks he's being perfectly logical and reasonable. Even when his "methods" killed an innocent young girl who had gotten possessed. Sterling K. Brown is WONDERFUL. I love him as a villain. I kind of assumed that Dean would kill him in this episode, and I'm really glad he didn't, because that leaves it open for Gordon to come back again somewhere down the line! YAY!

Oh but dude, omfg, when Gordon made the comment about John? Saying Dean wasn't as good as him or some shit? I WANTED TO BUST A CAP IN THAT MOTHERFUCKER'S ASS. Jesus CHRIST. You do NOT GO THERE. I'm pretty amazed Sam was able to stop Dean from killing Gordon, honestly. Although I guess he implied Gordon was already dead (I wonder what kind of heart attack Dean was having as they ran away - mybrother'sakillermybrother'sakiller) so Dean couldn't really protest that.

The music was kind of weird this episode. What on earth was playing when the kid got stabbed? And MUSE in the ROADHOUSE? Lmfao. I love that song, but adding it to my SPN playlist? Bizarre. Dude, Kripke, DO NOT CAVE TO THE MUSICAL STYLINGS OF THE CW. LYNYRD SKYNYRD, AC/DC, ALLMAN BROTHERS - PLEEEEEASE! Yeah, I'm sorry, I just won't open my mouth. I've never heard Jefferson Airplane before, okay? lol. And I could have SWORN the roadhouse song was Muse - I was singing along and everything! Perhaps this "supernatural" song that everyone's talking about is the original, and Muse did a cover? I dont KNOW *holds head*

God, I thought Gordon was implying that ASH was his informant at the roadhouse. I was HORRIFIED. I mean, it could still be true - how well does Ellen know Ash, anyway? Who IS this guy? - but it seems less likely now. I would love for them to make Ash more important (his scene was pretty blah tonight - poo) but not in an EVIL way!

I'm like 98% sure that song was "Supermassive Black Hole" from Muse. It sounded like it might have been remixed, but it was for sure Muse. I can agree with you that Dean wouldn't have listened to it, but it seemed realistic that the Roadhouse could play something like that.
