I am in such a good mood now! This evening more than made up for my shitty day, mostly because I TALKED TO MICHELLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michelle is my bestest friend in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD, and now she is out in the wide world because she left for New Zealand two weeks ago! And I hadn't heard from her and I thought she was dead! But she called me tonight YAY!!! She had to wait until she could get internet and look up my cell number on Facebook, heehee! I am amused. Note to self: Bring friends' phone numbers to Ireland! LOL. I got to talk to her for a half hour and it completely made my life because Michelle is my other half. YAY.

And then I had a nice chat with my rooomie Jake (*waves again* Hi Jake!) and also his girlfriend when she came in, and then I got to talk to Holly, and then I found these links and started nearly peeing myself laughing, and in conclusion, tonight goes in the plus column.

Where is your friend in NZ at the moment? Is she on a working visit or just on holiday? I get so excited when I hear about people visiting NZ - seeing as I can't get back there myself (next scheduled visit = Christmas 2008) I live vicariously through other people who go!

Also, I was reading those Fandom_Wank quotes last night. Hilarious stuff. Have bookmarked for future pick-me-up purposes.

Michelle is studying at Victoria University in Wellington for the semester! :) I should think in the middle of winter would be a silly time to vacation in NZ, she says it hasn't stopped pouring practically the whole time!

I'm leaving mid-to-late September (not sure yet) and I'm studying at Trinity College for a year :)

Yeah, a Wellington winter can be kinda miserable. No snow, and usually nothing below freezing, but still cold & wet & windy.

A whole year in Dublin...dude, that's awesome! I'm coming back to the UK for my final year at Oxford; current plan to finish my PhD by Christmas 2008. After that - well, who knows?

Heee wow, how fantastic! She is totally fannish and geeky - in fact, one of her big complaints right now is that the internet is so expensive (and charges by the megabyte, wtf?) that she can't get the end of Doctor Who S3!!! The poor darling! I want to try to get it to her somehow! If you know people, I think she would definitely appreciate that! You should email her - mmorgens@fandm.edu.
