Help, I have done it again

So I finally finished Six Feet Under.

Wow. I just... that last sequence? Yeah. Wow. I already know that song really well, which was actually nice, because I wasn't distracted by it, and instead let it just wash over me as that genius, heartbreaking ending sank into my pores. And then I watched again. I mean... wow. Talk about a fitting ending. Absolutely gorgeous and satisfying and everything it should have been.

Jeremy said that it was kind of all about Claire, in the end. And I see that. I love her so much, so fiercely, and I hope that I have that kind of spark and fire in me.

Goodbye, Fishers, both originals and the new. It was a hell of a ride. ♥

Oh my god, the end. I still get all misty whenever I think about it. Or hear the song.

IT WAS SO PERFECT.

Yeah. The last ten minutes of that show were brilliant.

I'm quite familiar with "Breathe Me" as well and I remember having been told by a friend ages ago that the end of Six Feet Under depicted everyone's deaths, and yet I still found it overwhelming. It was a mix of sadness and joy, because while you're sad to see the end of all of these wonderful characters' lives, you can take comfort in the fact that they lived full ones [with the slight exception of Keith =(]. It's the perfect end to this show, because that's the feeling you got from every episode... a mixture of the fear and sadness that comes with living life along with the celebration of life itself. ♥

I think the part that gets me most is Claire seeing Nate running in the rearview mirror as she drives away. That's when I always start to lose it.

I watched that end sequence even before I'd gotten into the show, and it made me sob my eyes out.

It's been long enough that I really want to watch that show again all the way through. Gosh, I love it.
