Just wanna sleep for a little while
Torchwood is being AWESOMESAUCE. First of all, Jack and Ianto are LOVELOVELOVE sldkfjsldfjsndljnelkmwf. I love that they're actually in a RELATIONSHIP now, and how weird Ianto is about the "couple" thing (I actually think he keeps pointing it out because he's so thrilled and can't quite believe it himself - SO ADORABLE). And the kissssss when the bomb was ticking dsldkjfsdlkfjsdlf BOYS. Ahhhhhloveforever. <3333
I'm even enjoying Gwen a lot! And that's quite a feat, let me tell you. I don't know what it is! But she's being badass and occasionally funny and generally endearing. And Rhys is being even awesomer than usual. So I guess this is how TW rolls without Tosh and Owen - not the same thing, but definitely finding a life of its own! Good for you, TW! I am pleasantly surprised.
There's been some really interesting character stuff! Jack's DAUGHTER! Ianto's sister, who's awesome! Gwen's pregnant! Her reaction (and Rhys's) was just adorable. I think they're weaving the character stuff and the plot really skillfully. Not what I expect from TW, generally! Haha.
The whole "creepy kids" thing seemed a little trite in the commercials, but it's pretty damn disturbing! And I like the plot a lot - complex enough to support five installments, but not confusing or self-indulgent. Again I say bravo! I look forward to tomorrow's episode with relish. :D

It just turned midnight and I'm actually tired! I think I'm adjusting pretty well to this normal person sleep schedule. Today was very successful - I did my first science in graduate school (omgggg) and it worked very well! It was just a simple beginning of a peptide synthesis, but I've never done it before and it uses a nifty machine and I did it all on my own after being showed once, and it worked! \o/ The girl who was teaching me is really cool - her name's Ashley, she's in her fourth year, and she's just really awesome, helpful and laid back. I like the people in my lab, generally! A good balance of male and female (maybe even more girls), and people are very helpful and friendly, if not the most talkative of folks. I definitely made the right choice of lab. :)
There was a bit of a hiccup when my first bus coming home was late by 6 minutes, so I missed my connection (no bus goes straight from one side of downtown to the other, so I need to get on one bus for literally five minutes, then get off and switch *hands*) and had to take a different route which left me with a 15 minute walk to get home. But then I went out for a run, for the first time in a VERY long time, and even though it was painful it felt like a really good start to something, like I might actually be able to keep it up. I'm really quite unhappy with my weight right now. I was looking at pictures from a couple years ago (even just in Dublin) and I look so much rounder now. Not that I was ever skinny, but. So yeah, I need to slim down, and I figure the summer's the best time to do it, when the weather's pleasant for running and I don't need to make the time to get to a gym.

Also not used to having Gwen be on screen without wanting to punch her in the face every five minutes. A pleasant change. Also, RHYS! I LOVE HIM HE IS SO AWESOME.
But yeah, all the character stuff they've been doing is awesome.
