(Which was totally true, as all my new SGA pimping victims can attest) because 1) FOB/TAI../Panic!/MCR's music is definitely not up everyone's alley, and I totally get that, and 2) the boys are certainly... unique. Squishable and fabulous and adorable and wonderful, sure! To me and many others. But they can also rub other people the wrong way. SO. Um. Consider this my blanket apology for the many many posts of squee that are sure to follow.

You know, music aside, there are a lot of people who have weird issues with Panic!. It's like, it has nothing to do with their music, some people have an irrational hatred. I wish I could help them loosen that up, because it obviously has nothing to actually do with Panic!
Sometimes I just want to put a hand on Brendon's shoulder and say, "Are you aware that everything you say is making it very hard for us to believe you like girls?"
I love them so much because of their utter adorableness. I just want to be in a perpetual Panic! hug forever.

I am sitting here with my mouth open. RYAN ROSS HOW ARE YOU SO FUCKING AMAZING?????? Ohhhhh my god. His voice is GORGEOUS, and much lower than I expected! And it sounds quite young, unlike Brendon's, but in a completely endearing way and oh god I want to put him in my POCKET. And eeeee he's singing all the parts I do when I sing along to Panic! I mostly just find the whole of "bandom" to be terribly, terribly amusing, and consider just about everyone you can stick under the header of bandom (FOB/Panic!/TAI/Gym Class Heroes etc.) to be the most adorable things EVER. I'm not interested in becoming a part of the fandom in any serious way, but I LOVE watching the crazy antics via other people ♥
And yes, Panic! is very much at one with the GAY, and I love it. EMBRACE THE GAY, BOYS!

I was in that position approximately four days ago. Then I caved like a wet blanket and read a fic. I AM SO LOST TO THESE BOYS. And it's a really terrible time for it to happen too, cause I've got a presentation and a paper to worry about in the next few days, but ALL I WANT TO DO IS LOOK AT PICSPAMS AND WATCH VIDEOS *facepalm* And there's so MUCH to look at TOO, I just can't handle it, gahhhh. Ryan and Brendon singing back and forth to each other would just make my life.
Also, the longer I am involved in this fandom the more I am convinced that Brendon Urie is the most likely out of all them to be gay. And it doesn't even have anything to do with the fact that he is the one without a girlfriend despite being the heartthrob, or the way his answer to everything is "more flamboyant!" Or the way that on the DVD when the interviewer asks about girls the only story Brendon has is about how much girls freak him out. It's just ... yeah.
And hey, you don't need to apologize to me for the bandom posts! I love it! I feel I should be giving that kind of apology to my flist too though. I can't help it though. Supernatural is on hiatus and I'm a spoiler-phobe and the boys! They are so very pretty and squishable and awesome and Ryan Ross has taken over my brain. (I do think though, that my next project is a Supernatural/Bandslash crossover.)

You mention the DVD interviews - is the DVD something I should get my hands on? Or is all of it available on YouTube? I am so filled with giddy glee by these boys, and I'm pretty sure I didn't buy their album (I've had it for a long time on my computer) so I feel like I should contribute something to them, hrm. Well, at least I'll definitely buy the new CD when it comes out. But yes, is the DVD worth it?

Sources keep saying early 2008 for the new album, but Ryan mentioned it might be 'till spring in one interview.
I will tell you right now that I LOVE my DVD. It comes as part of the Special Edition Fever You Can't Sweat Out Collector's box, which is fun in and of itself. They put all sorts of fun crap in there - a mask, and a journal, and copy of the cd, and a poster, and lyric cards, all with fun art.
There are two parts to the DVD, one is just the concert all the way through. Everything you've seen marked "Live in Denver" is from that. It's really awesome to be able to watch it all the way through in high quality though. The other part is the "documentary" portion. It's interviews interspersed with the concert footage. Highlights include: backstage shenanigans, talking about girls, a great part where Ryan and Brendon talk about their relationship as lyricist and singer, Zack giving out MVP awards, and Ryan's deoderant. And all the while they are all adorable and love each other. It's pretty awesome.
I spent 45 bucks on the whole box and it was completely worth it. Because every time I'm having a bad day I curl up under a blanket and watch the concert and feel a million times better.
I once told someone at work that if Ryan Ross was completely straight I would eat my shoe.
He has COMPLETELY taken over my brain. I just finished an almost 6000 word fic about him. Like, WHAT? I just want to sit down with him and talk about books. And look at his wrist tattoos all day. I've seen a brief little clip from Ryan and Brendon's conversation, where Brendon says "These are your words, how am I going to be your voice?" And that's exactly when I knew that Ryan/Brendon was OTP, because wow. That's just so sweet and sentimental and vulnerable and oh oh, I love them so much.
Yay for fic!! :D He's such a unique guy, so mysterious and a bit aloof and just so fascinating, I want to listen to him talk or sing or play guitar all day long. Mmph.

I bought myself the box set because I had an unexpected windfall of cash. I probably couldn't spent that much normally. But it really was worth it.
YES. EXACTLY. OTP. Brendon worries about being able to live up to Ryan's words, and Brendon's confident voice allows Ryan to express himself in a way he couldn't if he was singing, and they fought about it, but they wanted to be worth of each other and I just DIE. AGAIN.
Fascinating is exactly the word I use to describe Ryan most often.

It was that interview, even more than all the shit they do on stage, that made me realize just how intense their relationship can get. And yes! I love the bus tour so much. And the thing about those bunks is that two people can barely fit in them staying still, so definitely no sex going on in there. But also, they're all so crammed together, your choices must be, let everyone hear you masturbate, or not get off at all.
