Oh god, I want to give a million apologies to everyone on my flist who is like "wtf, skinny girlyrock boys with ridiculous skinny jeans and emo hair and eyeliner, no really, WTF?" because I know that's... a lot of you, and um. When I get a new obsession I am LOUD about it, as you all know. And this is not like SGA - I can't say OH MY GOD WATCH THIS YOU WILL LOVE IT I PROMISE!!! (Which was totally true, as all my new SGA pimping victims can attest) because 1) FOB/TAI../Panic!/MCR's music is definitely not up everyone's alley, and I totally get that, and 2) the boys are certainly... unique. Squishable and fabulous and adorable and wonderful, sure! To me and many others. But they can also rub other people the wrong way. SO. Um. Consider this my blanket apology for the many many posts of squee that are sure to follow.

BUT HOW CAN I RESIST THEIR WEE FACES?

I've been searching on YouTube and I can't find it! ARG. I am really bad at searching for things on YouTube, but STILL. It was my FAVORITE.

I bought myself the box set because I had an unexpected windfall of cash. I probably couldn't spent that much normally. But it really was worth it.

YES. EXACTLY. OTP. Brendon worries about being able to live up to Ryan's words, and Brendon's confident voice allows Ryan to express himself in a way he couldn't if he was singing, and they fought about it, but they wanted to be worth of each other and I just DIE. AGAIN.

Fascinating is exactly the word I use to describe Ryan most often.

Awwwwwww, boys! Did they really fight about it? Like, in what way, did Ryan want to sing or what? But oh oh I love that they have such an intense relationship and Ryan kind of brings something out in Brendon that maybe isn't always up front, a kind of pensiveness, and um. OTP!!

Ryan says it was hard communicating to Brendon how he wanted the lyrics to be sung when he couldn't sing them himself. (He also uses the much made fun of phrase "vocal characteristic ... thing.") I think he gave up the singing pretty easily, and he says that when they were recording the album he and Brendon fought a lot because it was stressful and they didn't always understand each other.

But he said all that in different words. Ones that made me squee.

It was that interview, even more than all the shit they do on stage, that made me realize just how intense their relationship can get. And yes! Ryan bringing something out in Brendon that isn't always upfront. Exactly! (That's kind of what my fic is about, so the fact that you said that fills me with joy.) So OTP.

Ryan will never not be adorable in his newsboy cap. And me thinking that has nothing at all to do with the fact that Newsies is one of my favorite movies of all time. Nope. None at all.

There's really an electricity between them! It's quite incredible to be witness to, and I'm only just STARTING to dip my toes in. Oh man. And yay, I can't wait to read your fic!!

I am ashamed to say I've never seen Newsies :( I know, I know, I need to remedy! It's on my list with Almost Famous, Empire Records, and Goonies as movies it is absolutely inexcusable that I haven't seen, haha. It's just so rare that I actually sit down and watch a whole movie, yaknow? TV's much more my style.

I finished the Belgian clip! I LOVE that the interview lady called the band scene incestuous! HAHA! Right on, lady! And the bus tour, OH RYAN. How he's all, NORMAL people can't stand up in here, but we can :D And showing her his book and his diary sadlfksjdf and his wee little bunk with the mushed up comforter and trying to squeeze in with the lady and also also showing her their fruits on the counter! RYANNNNN. Also also also, it makes me realize that it must be kind of stressful being on tour, to be crammed into such a small space so much of the time! It's a good thing they like having sex with each other like each other so much! ;)

One thing that weirds me out about celebrity is how it seems like signing autographs and taking pictures is assumed by fans to be their right, or something. It's such an awkward form of interaction, in my opinion. I'd much rather have a short but interesting conversation with a person I'm a fan of than have them scribble on a piece of paper and not look me in the eye, you know? Hm. Then again, if confronted with, say, Ryan Ross or Jensen Ackles, I'm sure I would SWOON for joy if they so much as touched something I was holding, so I DON'T KNOW. I am just rambling.

Yup, it's on the DVD. Also a scene in which Ryan announces that wearing girl's deoderant makes him feel less lonely. WTF RYRO? I LOVE HIM.

I love the bus tour so much. And the thing about those bunks is that two people can barely fit in them staying still, so definitely no sex going on in there. But also, they're all so crammed together, your choices must be, let everyone hear you masturbate, or not get off at all. (Or do it in a public restroom somewhere, which I'm not putting past Brendon, but the others might have a problem with.) It must be sexually frustrating, is all I'm saying. Unless they're all having sex with each other.

Yeah, you know, the way people treat celebrities they supposedly love makes me really uncomfortable sometimes. A lot of times. I've had stuff signed after shows by a few bands, but the autographs don't really mean much unless you have a conversation along with it. I never try to get into meet & greets or autograph lines or anything because, that's not actually my ideal interaction. I'd SO much rather have some sort of conversation. Could I form words that didn't sound like they came from a retarded seal if confronted with Ryan Ross or Patrick Stump? Jury is out. But I'd much rather be given the chance to try than just an autograph. No wait, make that, I'd much rather be given the chance to try if they were feeling up to it.

I agree with everything you said about celebrity. I remember that shameful video on youtube of all the screaming girls chanting for Brendon and him just being really nice and signing everything, no matter what weird-ass stuff the said to him.

If I ever meet one of them, I am going to try SO HARD to play it cool, because I would just want to say I love their music and to please keep being awesome.

I make no guarantees for Patrick, though. I might just choke and have to go sit down.

Brendon is Jack and Ryan is David. Brendon has these big ideas, and Ryan has the words, and Brendon leads people using Ryan's words. That scene at the end,

David: All those words you said, they were mine.
Jack: But you never had the guts to put 'em across yourself.
David: I do now.

Doesn't it just SCREAM Ryan and Brendon? Um, I haven't thought about this a lot or anything.
