Ryan singing the Oh Nos in Time To Dance, YES. I love them. (I also love the Ryan/Brendon interaction in that clip.) But Ryan singing "Let's get these teen hearts beating faster" in "Lying" is probably my favorite. If you can find it, there's a video of Ryan, Brendon, and Jon on Much Music doing an acoustic version of "Lying." Brendon plays the piano, Ryan sings back up and I LOVE it. But the link I had is now down. I really gotta start saving these videos to my computer.

Sources keep saying early 2008 for the new album, but Ryan mentioned it might be 'till spring in one interview.

I will tell you right now that I LOVE my DVD. It comes as part of the Special Edition Fever You Can't Sweat Out Collector's box, which is fun in and of itself. They put all sorts of fun crap in there - a mask, and a journal, and copy of the cd, and a poster, and lyric cards, all with fun art.

There are two parts to the DVD, one is just the concert all the way through. Everything you've seen marked "Live in Denver" is from that. It's really awesome to be able to watch it all the way through in high quality though. The other part is the "documentary" portion. It's interviews interspersed with the concert footage. Highlights include: backstage shenanigans, talking about girls, a great part where Ryan and Brendon talk about their relationship as lyricist and singer, Zack giving out MVP awards, and Ryan's deoderant. And all the while they are all adorable and love each other. It's pretty awesome.

I spent 45 bucks on the whole box and it was completely worth it. Because every time I'm having a bad day I curl up under a blanket and watch the concert and feel a million times better.

I once told someone at work that if Ryan Ross was completely straight I would eat my shoe.

He has COMPLETELY taken over my brain. I just finished an almost 6000 word fic about him. Like, WHAT? I just want to sit down with him and talk about books. And look at his wrist tattoos all day. Have you seen the video where Ryan takes the European interviewer on a tour of their bus? I have to see if I can find that one for you.

Oh the DVD, and the whole box, sounds like so much fun! But I don't know if I can justify spending that.... hmmm. Well I'll poke around on eBay and suchlike and see what I come up with :)

I've seen a brief little clip from Ryan and Brendon's conversation, where Brendon says "These are your words, how am I going to be your voice?" And that's exactly when I knew that Ryan/Brendon was OTP, because wow. That's just so sweet and sentimental and vulnerable and oh oh, I love them so much.

Yay for fic!! :D He's such a unique guy, so mysterious and a bit aloof and just so fascinating, I want to listen to him talk or sing or play guitar all day long. Mmph.

I bought myself the box set because I had an unexpected windfall of cash. I probably couldn't spent that much normally. But it really was worth it.

YES. EXACTLY. OTP. Brendon worries about being able to live up to Ryan's words, and Brendon's confident voice allows Ryan to express himself in a way he couldn't if he was singing, and they fought about it, but they wanted to be worth of each other and I just DIE. AGAIN.

Fascinating is exactly the word I use to describe Ryan most often.

Ryan says it was hard communicating to Brendon how he wanted the lyrics to be sung when he couldn't sing them himself. (He also uses the much made fun of phrase "vocal characteristic ... thing.") I think he gave up the singing pretty easily, and he says that when they were recording the album he and Brendon fought a lot because it was stressful and they didn't always understand each other.

But he said all that in different words. Ones that made me squee.

It was that interview, even more than all the shit they do on stage, that made me realize just how intense their relationship can get. And yes! Ryan bringing something out in Brendon that isn't always upfront. Exactly! (That's kind of what my fic is about, so the fact that you said that fills me with joy.) So OTP.

Ryan will never not be adorable in his newsboy cap. And me thinking that has nothing at all to do with the fact that Newsies is one of my favorite movies of all time. Nope. None at all.

I am ashamed to say I've never seen Newsies :( I know, I know, I need to remedy! It's on my list with Almost Famous, Empire Records, and Goonies as movies it is absolutely inexcusable that I haven't seen, haha. It's just so rare that I actually sit down and watch a whole movie, yaknow? TV's much more my style.

I finished the Belgian clip! I LOVE that the interview lady called the band scene incestuous! HAHA! Right on, lady! And the bus tour, OH RYAN. How he's all, NORMAL people can't stand up in here, but we can :D And showing her his book and his diary sadlfksjdf and his wee little bunk with the mushed up comforter and trying to squeeze in with the lady and also also showing her their fruits on the counter! RYANNNNN. Also also also, it makes me realize that it must be kind of stressful being on tour, to be crammed into such a small space so much of the time! It's a good thing they ~~like having sex with each other~~ like each other so much! ;)

One thing that weirds me out about celebrity is how it seems like signing autographs and taking pictures is assumed by fans to be their right, or something. It's such an awkward form of interaction, in my opinion. I'd much rather have a short but interesting conversation with a person I'm a fan of than have them scribble on a piece of paper and not look me in the eye, you know? Hm. Then again, if confronted with, say, Ryan Ross or Jensen Ackles, I'm sure I would SWOON for joy if they so much as touched something I was holding, so I DON'T KNOW. I am just rambling.

I love the bus tour so much. And the thing about those bunks is that two people can barely fit in them staying still, so definitely no sex going on in there. But also, they're all so crammed together, your choices must be, let everyone hear you masturbate, or not get off at all. (Or do it in a public restroom somewhere, which I'm not putting past Brendon, but the others might have a problem with.) It must be sexually frustrating, is all I'm saying. ~~Unless they're all having sex with each other.~~

Yeah, you know, the way people treat celebrities they supposedly love makes me really uncomfortable sometimes. A lot of times. I've had stuff signed after shows by a few bands, but the autographs don't really mean much unless you have a conversation along with it. I never try to get into meet & greets or autograph lines or anything because, that's not actually my ideal interaction. I'd SO much rather have some sort of conversation. Could I form words that didn't sound like they came from a retarded seal if confronted with Ryan Ross or Patrick Stump? Jury is out. But I'd much rather be given the chance to try than just an autograph. No wait, make that, I'd much rather be given the chance to try if they were feeling up to it.
