As an antidote to my last post of emo vomit, have my latest fave video of soldiers dancing and being ridic. TO THE SONG TIK TOK. I fucking hate that song and Kesha makes me want to gauge my eyeballs out, BUT THE SOLDIERS ARE HOT/PRECIOUS/HILARIOUS. I am so easy. :( The dude who obviously orchestrated the whole thing is pretty smokin, and a damn fine dancer. I lol'd, okay.

Three things that just made me cry:

1. THE NEW MERLIN EPISODE (2x08). That - that was. That was exquisite storytelling. "Merlin?!" you might be thinking. "No, she must have the wrong show!" OH NO, MY FRIENDS. That was an EXQUISITE HOUR OF TELEVISION. Bradley James, I take my hat off to you sir. Unbelievable. And Colin Morgan, and Anthony Head. Incredible, incredible performances on all sides. Add in a wonderful guest star, a few scenes in which Morgana literally stole my breath away, and a gut-wrenchingly powerful emotional payoff - well. WELL. That was amazing. ♥_____♥

   KARA. LEE. ♥____♥ If I had to choose one pairing of my heart, these two would be strong contenders. And never more so than in moments like this, rare moments of naked, unrestrained love and warmth. This is the Kara and Lee I was fighting for the whole series - this is the Kara and Lee they tried so hard to bury. In the end, they couldn't quite manage it. My pilots! ♥♥♥

   This is one of the most stunning pieces of cinematography I've ever seen. I can't describe it in any meaningful way, except to say that when it came to an end, I actually said a little bereft "no!" because I didn't want it to be over. Just watch it, I promise you won't regret it.

I am in such a good mood this morning, guys! This is against all odds - I got four and a half hours of sleep last night (I need to learn to not do that! argh) and today is going to be super super busy. But! I decided (correctly) that it would be a good idea to start out my day right by going to the dining hall for breakfast. So I set my alarm a bit earlier, and apparently that made my body go on some weird high alert and I woke up at 6:40 of my own volition. I know, what??? But anyway. So I got to have coffee and chocolate chip pancakes and sausage and REAL SCRAMBLED EGGS. They're usually powdered scrambled eggs on the weekends cause they have to make so many, but on weekday mornings they take the time to make some REAL eggs. Mmmmmmmmm. So that was very nice.

Then! My organic chemistry teacher ended class a half hour early! :O We had just finished up a big unit, and he was like "So I guess we'll stop there today!" and we all looked at eachother in confusion, kinda laughing a little cause of course he was kidding. I think he got a great kick out of our befuddlement :D And then he wasn't kidding! So THAT was nice. Of course, I had class at 9 anyway, but I came back to my room and just lay down for 20 minutes, so I think that gave me a little boost of energy.

Also, it's spring! \o/ I love wearing my flip flops again.

Aaaaand the really fun thing is that I found this long Stargate Atlantis special on Youtube. It's by a Vancouver talk show called Urban Rush, and this man and woman went on set for a day, interviewed the cast, walked around set seeing how things go. I haven't watched them all yet (there are SEVERAL ten minute clips on youtube) but I watched their interviews with David, Joe, and Torri. I LOVE THEM ALL OMG. The interviewers are really fun, so it's just a cool laid back conversation with the actors. David was hilarious and gracious, as usual, Joe stood with his hands on his hips looking sexy and gay as hell, and Torri is just the cutest giggly girl ever. I HEART HER and want to have slumber parties with her. She says "Cool as a cucumbah" and I die giggling. Joe complained again about the difficulties of doing a scifi show, which gets old, but I can tell he has a genuine affection for the show and especially the people he works with, so it balances out. There was an ADORABLE little clip of him poking fun at David and then bopping him gently on the cheek with a script he's holding! N'awwwww, BOYS.

ETA: Just watched Paul's and Rachel's. I have a love affair with EVERYONE ON THIS SHOW. *flail flail* They're all so funny and kind and personable! :D

Canadians really ARE the nice ones, eh? *g* And there's also a brief shot of Joe and David filming, and Joe CRACKS UP and doubles over with laughter, putting his hand essentially on David's... oh, just watch it. It's so CUTE. ♥
Christopher Judge and Michael Shanks interview, in which both of them have their DAUGHTERS ON THEIR LAPS. It's possibly the cutest thing I have EVER seen. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I REALLY REALLY adore this cast.

First of all, there's a brand new Supernatural promo circulating (ANOTHER ONE! I love how much they're pushing our show! *beams*) and it's heartstopping. You can download it here. It's really just - so intense, and a bit shocking, and there are some truly gorgeous shots in there. And it's all done in black and white, which is beautiful. It feels, to use txtequilanights's word for it, gothic. Takes my breath away. And they use the shot of Sam seeing Jess in Bloody Mary, which just brings back a rush of S1 nostalgia and emotionality, and also makes me hope that they're going to explain just WHY he saw her then. Because it was just kind of left as one of those unexplained moments, you know? Ooh, and the promo uses a Johnny Cash song which is so haunting and gorgeous. Mmmm.

Wow, I don't think I can wait 9 more days! *vibrates*

Secondly, I saw The Departed today - FINALLY! It was, for lack of a better word, AMAZING. I was just so swept away by it. Everything was fantastic - the directing, the acting, the cinematography, the writing.... just, wow! The cast, obviously, was phenomenal - Leo and Mark Wahlberg particularly blew me away. And not just because they were ridiculously pretty :D The movie rivals Boondock Saints in its profanity (in fact, according to IMDB, The Departed uses "fuck" only 9 times less than Boondock Saints - hee! the totals are 237 and 246, if you're curious ;)) and is ALSO set in Boston, and deals with the Irish crime syndicate. It's intricate and gritty and fascinating and surprising and the end will blow your SOCKS off. Seriously. So, so fabulous - everyone go see it! If you don't mind blood and swearing! :P Uh, and also if you can find a theater still playing it! (I saw it at a tiny theater where the tickets were only $3 and there were no previews - SO AWESOME) If not, rent/buy it when it comes out on DVD! You won't regret it :D

I think, maybe, that Jared saying "WE HAUL ASS" might ACTUALLY be the hottest thing in existence. Especially, ESPECIALLY since "we" refers to him and JENSEN in the IMPALA.

You want proof? What? Oh fine. How about an entire video interview with Jared in which he talks about Jensen at least 3 times and calls Dean "strapping"?

*squeeeee* I can't wait for the Jensen partner to this!

*squee!* It looks like the CW is actually taking our pleas to promote Supernatural seriously! If you go to http://www.cwtv.com/video there's a fake news clip about the subject of the next episode, Croatoan, (not wanting to spoil) plus the shiny new promo that aired during ELAC. I personally prefer the SONOFABIIIITCH (hee) promo that aired after Crossroad Blues, but this one's pretty awesome too :D Oh yeah, and there are also the two clips that TV Guide had up on their site.

ETA: While I was poking around the site, I stumbled on a video interview with Justin Hartley. It's him answering fan questions. He's very cute but very serious, adorably deadpan sometimes, but I wish he would smile more because his two little smiles at the end there are just so sweet. I love that his passion in life is making sure his daughter "grows up to be a good person, whatever that means." A nice little interview (even though I don't even watch the show! hee). How AWESOME would it be if we got an interview with Jensen and Jared together?? *prays to the CW gods*

Okay, the boys have DONE IT AGAIN. They've KEEEELED ME.

So the CW Launch party show aired tonight, right? And I missed it. And I heard tale of JARED GLOMPING JENSEN FROM BEHIND. And it is, indeed, the CUTEST THING OF EVER.
