Okay. What? WHAT?

MCR is coming BACK to London in March and playing the O2 arena FOUR TIMES. IN A ROW. WHAT???

1) How's that hiatus going, boys?
2) They were JUST HERE o.O
3) That's the week my dad and sister are here! Maaaaaaaaaaaybe I can convince them to come with me?? *IS INSANE* But oh my god, you guys, THE O2 WITH FRANKIE AND BOB THIS TIME. I think I would die.
4) Four times? REALLY?
5) Why aren't tickets on sale for any of those shows yet? And I mean the ones that are in less than a month. WHY SO CONFUSING, BOYS??? *pulls out hair*
6) Maybe they'll announce more dates and actually come to Dublin this time! /wishful thinking

I AM SO BAFFLED. Mikeyway is skeptical, you guys. And Bob is cute and confused. I FEEL YOUR PAIN BOB BRYAR.

At first I wasn't going to post my MCR concert videos, because I figured lots of better ones would pop up, but it turns out that I've got some really awesome ones, particularly of Gee talking, and my view was perfect for steady, clear visuals of the boys. The sound during the actual songs is a little shitty, but it's listenable and you get to see Gee prance like a faaaaairy princess! And Mikey be a total rockstar! It's pretty much awesome.

So without further ado...

My Chemical Romance :: O2 Arena, London :: November 15 2007

Gerard: "I wanna see you motherfuckers do a WAVE."

We're the biggest crowd they ever played to! :D This is my favorite video of Gee talking - he's so precious! I particularly love how he says "and other bullshit" and "all craaazy and shit!" It was hilarious because Gee asked "Do you guys do that over here?" and the crowd had done the wave about 10 times while waiting for MCR to come on. OH GEE. WHY SO AMERICAN?

It was the roar of the crowd that gave me heartache to sing! )

Um. You guys. YOU GUYS.

I JUST MET GERARD WAY AND LYN-Z ON THE STREETS OF DUBLIN!!!!!!!

I just. What? WHAT???? How does this HAPPEN??? OMG LIFE I FORGIVE YOU FOR ALL THE SHIT YOU GAVE ME FOR BRINGING ME TO THAT STREET CORNER AT THE SAME TIME AS GERARD WAY AND HIS BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL WIFE.

LSDfkjldskfjlsdjf I'm still SHAKING for joy. I just. Oh my god they were BEAUTIFUL. I mean, pictures do do them justice because there are some awesome photos out there but they were, like, IN THE FLESH and GORGEOUS and SWEET and I talked to them for A WHOLE TWO MINUTES OR SOMETHING. Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!

Okay okay I recapped the whole conversation to Rachel so now I'm going to post that since I can barely type!!

[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: !!!!!!!!!
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: tell me everythiiiiing
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: okaaaaaay
omg im still shaking
um um um
ok so i saw these two people crossing the street and the girl looked like Lynz and I did a doubel take and kind of squealed inside
so i jogged after them and kind of said "hi, excuse me, hi, sorry to bother you... gerard way?"
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: ahahaha omg you are way braver than me
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: i would have KICKED myself FOREVER if i hadnt done it
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: TRUE
what did they saaaaaay?
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: So he kind of turned around and smiled alitle and was like "Hi"
so i was like "I was at the show in London, it was fantastic!"
and he smiled and held out his hand and said "rock on!" and I SHOOK GERARD'S HAND
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: !!!!!!!
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: and Lynz was kind of hovering behind him so i said "both of you, you were wonderful!" and i held out my hand to her and SHOOK LYNZ'S HAND TOO
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: !!!!!!!
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: Then Gerard got a puzzled frown on his face and said "Are you American?"
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: ahaha an american in ireland, AMAZING
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: And I was like, "Yeah, I'm from Connecticut, right by Jersey!" (hahaha **facepalm**)
and Lynz went "Ooh, where?" and I said "I live in Bridgeport" and she smiled her beautiful smile and said "I'm from Connecticut!"
!!!!
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: So then Gerard looked kind of embarrassed and looked around a bit and said something like "So can you tell me where anything is around here?"
and I said "Well what are you looking for?"
and they were both like "Something to do! Entertainment?"
and I kind of laughed and babbled some directions about how we're on the South Side on George's street, and if they kept going straight they'd hit Grafton, a major shopping area, and just past that was Trinity (where I go, of course I inserted that) and then north of the Liffey is O'Connell street, another big shopping area
And they were like "Oh cool, thanks!"
and then some pleasantries were exchanged and I think he said I'm glad you enjoyed the show or something like that, and thanks for the directions, and then they walked off!
AND I STARTED TREMBLING VIOLENTLY
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: EEEEE OMMMMG
that is awesome
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: RACHEL. DID THAT JUST HAPPEN?????????
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: IT SO DID
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: !!!! EEEEEE
[livejournal.com profile] txtequilanights: !!!
[livejournal.com profile] exsequar: sdfjsldkjlsd
I'M STILL SHAKING

Augh. AUGH. SERIOUSLY. STILL SHAKING. TREMBLING. I kept my cool during the actual conversation but as soon as they walked away I started trembling violently and then I burst out into overjoyed giggles (when they were well out of earshot!) and I think the people around me thought I was crazy, but OMG GERARD WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. Of course now I'm wishing I said something like give them my best wishes for Bob and Frank and his family, or asked why they decided to play Desert Song or SOMETHING, but perhaps they wouldn't have appreciated that. Gerard looked slightly wary but I think he was relieved I was a sane fan which is why he felt comfortable asking directions. YAY I WAS A SANE FAN YOU GUYS. I HELD MY COOL.

And I'm so flabbergasted because it was such an insane confluence of events that brought me to that exact spot. I MEAN IT'S A FUCKING CITY. I went into college because I thought I had class, but it was canceled, so I texted Colin to see if he was free but he was working on a project, so I walked home on George's Street to buy a frying pan and get some keys copied, so all that time spent combined with the route i chose combined with me forgetting class was canceled brought me to that exact spot where Gerard and Lyn-Z were being tourists. SDfsldkfjsldkfjsldkfjsd. YOU GUYS. NO REALLY.

sdflksjdlfjksdflksdjflskdjldfsjkdlfjk YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

*dies happy*

ETA: I THINK they're staying at the huge fancy hotel across the street from me!! They were walking out of the street that leads right to it, and it's, you know, huge and fancy, and there's some kind of shenanigans going on in the huge glass room upstairs so I'm thinking it's maybe the band and their people just hanging out. Which, dlfkjsldjkf, WHAT? Ahahahaha MY LIFE WHAT IS THIS.
exsequar: (Girlyrock - MCR - Mikey rockstar)
So I've spent a while poking at all my pictures and videos from Thursday's concert. I prettified the best shots and I'm gonna post them here - they're nothing special, really, but the colors are really nifty on some of them and you really get a sense of what the experience was like for me :) Much better videos than mine are online already though, so I'm just gonna share one video, of the Prison solo, which includes Gerard being flamboyant and priceless and basically sums up the awesome of the show in one concise clip :D

Unfortunately I managed to miss recording all of the best moments. I really really really loved Gee and Mikey's interactions during the whole thing! Of course you've all heard of Gee handing Mikey the mic and Mikey saying "Do I look like Darth Vader in this jacket?" and Gee reacting with "WTF IS HE SAYING?" Translation? My little brother is awesome and you can't have him. \o/ Also, apparently, though I wasn't close to make out the details of this, Gee fisted his fingers in Mikey's hair at one point and kind of tugged his head down, which, nnngh, hotttt. Alllso, he hugged him from behind at one point, and during one song he wrapped himself around Mikey from behind and held the mic to Mikey's mouth, but Mikey didn't sing the line, awww. Hee. Gerard is so obviously overjoyed to have his little bro back with him. I bet he felt like he was missing a LEG or something the whole time Mikey was gone! And Mikey himself was really, just, SO into it, thrashing his hair around and kicking up his little BOOTS and just right up there next to Gerard and oh oh. I HAVE SEEN THE MIKEY WAY. (U c wut I did thar?) I kind of love him desperately. Endless hearts, Mikey Way, endless hearts.

If they were this awesome with only three members, I can only imagine how much they would blow my mind with FRAAAANKIE and BOBBB in there too. Gosh! But I'm so glad I went now, even with all the suffering I went through to do it, because Gee is talking about the next album not coming out til 2009 and they obviously wouldn't tour til after that, SO. It was now or never! And having this experience is just. Yes. I kind of needed it.

So now I'll just let the photos speak for themselves! Feel free to save and do whatever if you're so inclined, but like I said, nothing special :) Except to me, of course. I won't ever be able to look at these or watch my loud, staticky videos without a stupid grin coming to my face. What a fucking amazing night.

Spend the rest of your day rocking out )

*happysigh* Yay.

!!!!!!!

sdflksdlkjslGERARDWAY. aslkfjsldfkjsldkfjdsndfMIKEYWAY. sdfkjsdlkfjldRAYTORO!!

Augh, you guys, it was so good. SO GOOD. I was so hoarse and hot and sweaty afterward from hollering and dancing my mind out because they were SO FUCKING GOOD. I can't even.

And our seats were AMAZING. Front row, because even though we were in row K there was the disabled area in front of us, so we had railings to lean on and no one to get in our way and a PERFECT view of our boys. And oh they were looking FINE. Very simple all-black ensembles for all of them, plus Mikey's HOOKER BOOTS which I kind of want to lick.

Here, have a visual! (GIGANTIC) )

According to Gerard, it was the biggest show they've EVER PLAYED that wasn't "a festival or any of that bullshit" (video of his absolutely adorable enunciation of 'bullshit' to come) which I didn't realize at all! And they really went all out. They made me unspeakably happy because they not only played Honey This Mirror and HEADFIRST FOR HALOS (sdlfkjsldkfjs!!!!!) but also... DESERT SONG!!!! Augh augh AUGH. Ray came out with just an acoustic guitar for the second to last song, by himself, and I went "Oooh what's this??" and then the first chords came in and Gerard came on stage and I think my eyes might have fallen out of my FACE. DESERT SONG! And oh, oh my, it was gorgeous. My camera was sadly out of memory at that point, but I know a million copies are gonna pop up online anyway, so I just threw my heart into it. Definitely a highlight. Oh oh oh, my boys. *heartclench*

I'm so glad I went with a fellow fangirl. Matilda ([livejournal.com profile] erode) and I had such a blast together. :D She's such a sweetheart and I have made a new friend out of this whole mess of shenanigans! YAY! *snuggles her*

I'll say more later, probably with pictures and videos (depending on how they look - I think my videos are good visual quality but shitty audio, meh), but right now I HAS AN AMANDA!! \o/ We're gonna go in to Trinity to see Colin and maybe some of the other boys.
exsequar: (Girlyrock - MCR - Gee presh)
I have arrived safely in London! \o/ I'm currently at [livejournal.com profile] jemimamoo's house hanging out with her and [livejournal.com profile] erode, and they're both lovely! I caught my bus, plane, and trains with no mishaps, and I even got a nap on the plane. I'm so relieved that everything went smoothly. Now Matilda and I are gonna watch LOTMS and then we're gonna go see MCR for REAL and eeeeeeeeee!

I think the trauma is finally over. THANK GOD.
exsequar: (Girlyrock - MCR - Ghost of you)
Subtitle: I May Be Eating Ramen For The Next Seven Months, But At Least I'm Seeing (3/5)MCR Tomorrow!

So, I didn't find my garda card, but I went to get it replaced and I was told I'd have to get in the queue, which would take a good four hours or so (I had two hours) so I mildly panicked. I went to another window and I was like "CRISIS SITUATION!" and the very kind guy was like "Okay, go to window 12 and they'll look after you right away!" and then they printed it within 10 minutes and stole 100 Euro from me and in conclusion, I may be dangerously approaching Broke Student but I have a Garda card.

Phew.

Then, the only thing that has gone TRULY right is that I received my new iPod in the mail today from my daddy! \o/ I wasn't even going to come home before i went to the airport, but I did and IT WAS THERE. It's beautiful and shiny and black and filled with all my bandom music plus a few other albums, and I am so happy, you guys.

Now, I'm so exhausted my head feels like it might explode (even though I got ~6.5 hours of sleep last night!) and I went on another crying jag this morning (to this guy in my European Societies class who's here as an adult student - he's about 40-45, gruff and sarcastic and kind and he just let me cry and calmed me down. I needed that so much) and I can't quite comprehend that I have about 5 hours of traveling ahead of me, but. I think things should work out.

I'm trying so hard not to think "Oh, now MCR's going to cancel!" or "I'm going to miss one of my train connections!" or "I'm going to lose something ELSE!" because I'll drive myself insane.

I want to say thank you to all of you who have put up with my disaster drama over the past few days and encouraged me and left kind comments. It really helps to know that there are people out there who sympathize and are thinking of me. I haven't answered all the comments for reasons that I hope are obvious, but I am very very thankful. And anyone who's listened to me freak out on AIM, well, you get a gold star. You guys rock. *hugs tight*

So I'll probably poke my head in and let you all know I'm alive at some point, but other than that it'll be radio silence from me for three days. Take care, my loves ♥

Well shit.

exsequar: (Girlyrock - MCR - Frankie hardcore)
From [livejournal.com profile] chemicalromance: "I've just been informed by someone on mychemicalromanceforum.com that Frankie has had to leave the tour due to "personal reasons". Apparently the girl I heard it from is at the Aberdeen show now and Frank's not there.

That's all I know."

Wow. Um. I've got chills and think I might cry. I mean, I'm worried for Frankie and hope he's okay, but I spent an arm and a leg getting myself to the O2 show on Thursday and my self-motivation has been saying "FRAAAAANKIE" whenever I got stressed or upset. If he's not there... well, I almost want to say it's not worth it. But I can't back out.

Someone in the comments also said they cut the set short - no Bullets.

Um. I don't want my MCR experience to be with 3/5ths of the band, honestly.

Shit. Frankie :(

I'm actually really worried about him - something has been off recently. Reports from people who have been at Europe dates have said he's been very restrained on stage, and didn't interact with Gerard at all. Which just isn't Frankie. Throw in how he looked/acted in the photos at the EMAs, well... I just hope there isn't anything seriously wrong.

And I really want my Frankie back.

Wow, I think I'm cursed.

ETA: New post at the comm with DETAILS! Hurrah! She has this to say:
"A couple of songs in, Gerard announced that Frank's had to leave the tour for the time being and fly straight home because of "personal reasons/issues". He said that they were all thinking of him, and were missing him already. He said Frank would be back, not to worry."

Sooo it's a question of when he'll be back! Obviously I hope that whatever the problem is, it will be okay, and that everyone will be fine, and that Frankie can return soon. Three days? Hmm! There is a glimmer of hope!
exsequar: (Girlyrock - MCR - Gee Helena)
So here I am, waking up before sunrise on Monday morning for a 9 oclock class. I don't know how I'm going to cope when the amount of daylight shrinks even MORE over the next two months. Oh Ireland, you so crazy!

This is a fitting start to what promises to be the most exhausting yet awesome week of my entire life. Let's have a rundown of what's going on, shall we?

  • Monday. Classes until 5. Meeting at 9 with roommates and one of our program coordinators to deal with "issues" that are cropping up amongst roommates, not really me but we all have to be there. FUN! (Okay, so the fun doesn't really start here. Meh, Mondays.)
  • Tuesday. Classes until 4. TOM MCRAE CONCERT AT 7:30!! \o/!!
  • Wednesday. Classes until 3. Flight to London at 7 PM, followed by train to Hampton Court getting in at 10:12 PM. Meeting [livejournal.com profile] erode!!!
  • Thursday. MOTHERFUCKING MCR CONCERT AT THE O2!!! AHHHHH!!!!!
  • Friday. Flight back to Dublin in the late afternoon. Meeting [livejournal.com profile] huggenkiss at the Dublin airport because she has a flight from the same airport in London to Dublin a half hour earlier than me. Ahahaha, life, WHAT? But YAY AMANDA!!!
  • Saturday+Sunday. I can has Amanda!! \o/
  • Monday. Class at 9 - if I'm still alive!

HOMG. I want to go to sleep just thinking about it, but it's all going to be SO MUCH FUN YAAAAY.

Everything I'm hearing about Jsquared from the Chicago Con fills me with UTTER GLEE. The video of the cheek touching story! The darling pictures! OH BOYS. Never stop, seriously. ♥♥♥

GIP! I made a bunch of MCR icons because needed mooooore, and I'm really happy with how this one turned out. ICU Mikeyway and Bob! <333

Okay, well, off to face the day!
exsequar: (Default)
So last night was Andy's 21st birthday. We went to a great pub and just drank for a few hours, it was really fun :D Andy's three brothers (one younger, two older - another one was missing) were there, and um. That is a HOT family. Holy crap. Every single one of them was just... ngh. Ahem. Not that I'm surprised, since Andy himself is delicious, but geez. However, five brothers? Their poor mom! Haha. They all got along really well though, it was sweet, and I chatted with his little brother Robbie for a while.

When I say we drank, I mean that we got steins of German beer. A stein = 1 liter. Hahaha. Oh god. I finished a whole one of Erdinger. Hence today's hangover :P

Everyone awesome was there - Colin obviously, Bren, Barry, Niall, Michael, Owen, plus other people I hadn't met yet but who were great too, and it was just a lot of fun! Then I went home with Colin and spent the night and it was lovely and I had to force myself to leave at 1 PM this.. afternoon, hee.

This week's Supernatural was AWESOME. They're coming back to the great balanced mix of humor and angst, and I absolutely loved it. So many perfect moments :D

All this talk of MCR's shows is making me so impatient!! SIX DAYS OMG. Apparently they played Honey a couple nights ago! Bullets FTW! I'm seriously going to pass out for joy when they start Headfirst for Halos :D:D The video of their new song is awesome, I can't wait to hear it live!! And I've been looking at pictures of the inside of the arena I'm going to - my seats are SO CLOSE. Afksdjflk. Yaaaaaay.
