Here we are, in the darkest place
Nov. 13th, 2007 11:52 pmGuess what you guys....
I DIED!!
Hahaha. Just kidding. I figured that was the only way that my posts could continue to get more apocalyptic.
No, instead, this is a HAPPY post! I just got home from the Tom McRae concert and it was WONDERFUL. They're so, so talented. I'm exhausted and need to get ready to go to London (haha, if I CAN, omg shoot me) so I'll make a full post some time later, but wow, it was wonderful. I got like a million videos and pictures and I'll be uploading those...... at some point in the future, whenever I next get to take a breath. That might be a while. I got there halfway through the first song (For The Restless! My absolute favorite! I'm a little sad I missed most of it) and then the balcony opened up so I got a prime spot at the rail on the balcony, in this very small intimate little club. I had a great view and the sound was wonderful. The singer, Tom McRae himself, is a great performer, combining his gorgeous music with wonderful banter and humor. He was VERY funny, and god knows I needed those laughs. To a girl who made a comment from the balcony he said: "Can you see my baldspot?" *general laughter* "Well you're wearing a miniskirt!" We all about DIED. She wasn't, but oh he was funny. The cellist (that's right, the cellist!) was, um, really hot, and also extremely talented, as were the keyboardist and the electric guitarist. They're a really, really good band. I had a lovely time, and met a very nice woman next to me named Sheila (she was about 40 - I was definitely one of the youngest in the room! lol) who was also there by herself, and we had a good laugh about that. Independent women! \o/
Okay, that's enough rambling from me, but I really needed to focus on something going right for once. I had a lovely evening, and now I'm going to go get some sleep, and deal with the rest of the shit I have to deal with in the morning. And things will work out. They will.
Goodnight my loves <3
