I FINISHED FARSCAPE! :O I did a mini marathon last night, plowing through the end of S4, then Brad drove down and we watched the miniseries this morning/afternoon. It was amazing! I oddly don't have that much to say, but... I loved it. It was satisfying, fun, exhilarating, unpredictable, and all around one hell of a ride. John and Aeryn are so in love it makes me ache, and everyone is just so wonderful *squishes them all*

Brad is the adorable gay guy that I have mentioned before, and want to know what's AWESOME? He's a SLASHER! Hahaha! Specifically of Braca/Scorpius, which is HILARIOUS. He said things like "Braca was totally jealous when Scorpius and Sikozu were doing their thing" and "Look who's saving Braca now!" and many other things and oh man. I almost broke something laughing. FANTASTIC.

So, um. That's that! It was amazing, and I'm so glad I experienced it. Thank you to everyone who forced me to watch it :)

Re: LJ going batshit again. Um. I'm staying right here, guys. I don't see the point of getting some random new journals that I'll never use. What they're doing sucks, yes, but at the same time... I saw the piece of art that got the first person TOSed. It's rather vile, in my opinion. I love some of her other art, but that I just cannot get behind. And I personally have nothing to worry about, and I really don't think any of my friends do either, so, um. Self centered? Perhaps. I've just got too many other things to worry about.

Well that was fun! Watched more Farscape tonight. I think my experience is kind of... hm, I don't know, skewed by my expectations for John/Aeryn. When y'all convinced me to start watching, I got the impression it was, like, the John and Aeryn Show. So I'm always waiting for squeeful scenes between them, and sometimes episodes that are great in all other ways disappoint. I mean. They're always close by each other, and they've gotten all touchy feely lately which is great, but I don't know. My distraction with that kinda makes me impatient with the rest of it? I DON'T KNOW. Mostly I suck.

Note: I love Stark. I have no idea why. I just do. He can stay \o/

Note the second: Jool was fun for her first 30 seconds, then I just wanted to punch her face in. Whiny, DAMSELY little brat! Oy.

Hmmm *drums fingers* I don't know what to do with myself, all this free time! Tis tres bizarre. I think I will go continue reading the epic AU John/Rodney fic I was reading a little while ago. They make me happy :)

One of the best things about John and Aeryn is that they always have conversations with their noses about 2 inches apart. It's really hot.

So I watched the end of S2 and I've started S3! I screamed, I flailed, I wept. But oddly I don't have much to say? Well, I enjoyed it :) Onwards and upwards!

falling, years and years of it and not knowing half the time

Whenever I finish reading a quiet, thoughtful, beautiful story about John and Rodney and how much they care about and need each other, I then feel the desire to watch some canon along those same veins, but then... there isn't any! Not really. I've worn out the end of Tao of Rodney in service of this desire, but even that's not the same. With the Winchesters, I can finish any kind of fic and have my choice of canon to match the mood. Gutwrenching declarations of love? Check! Intense expressions of "I need you like a limb"? Check check! Oh Winchesters. I can't wait for the angstfest that is going to be the rest of the season.

I'm exhausted. Farscape and McShep fic and orgo studying kept me up too late. Again. How predictable am I?

I just hung up with my dad and burst into tears because A) I miss him like a limb, B) he can't come down this weekend like he was going to for various reasons, and C) I am SO FUCKING EXHAUSTED from FIVE HOURS (!!!) of orgo lab. Seriously, I'm at that point where i tried to take a nap and I'm so tired I couldn't fall asleep. >.<

But THEN, I went and looked at the new 2x20 promo pictures at winchesterfan.com and nearly WEPT with happiness. I can't WAIT for this episode OMG. *flailyhands* (ETA: Spoilers in the comments!)

Hooray for emotional rollercoasters? >.<

Perhaps I should make an effort to go get some food. Maybe that would give me some energy.

Just wasted two hours of my life watching the first part of the Drive premiere. Sorry guys, but I am so not on this bandwagon. It elicited no kind of emotional response from me - no sympathy for ANY of the characters (except perhaps Nathan... aw Nathan. *squishes him*), no laughter, no curiosity... I just don't care in the slightest. I think the fact that I HATE what competition does to people (one of the big reasons I don't watch reality shows, other than them... just sucking in general) has a large part to do with my complete lack of interest. In the preview for the Monday part, one person says "Money isn't everything!" and another person holds a gun on her and says "Yes. It. Is." And that exactly sums up why I'm not going to be watching this show.

Oh well.

It's a Winchester week! Woohoo! \o/

When I renewed my paid account and extra userpics, I got 6 more icon slots, bringing my total to 112. This is very exciting.

I very much want a silly Aeryn and/or John Farscape icon, but I can't seem to find one :( Can anyone point me in the direction of some?

You know, I often find that falling in love with the actors is what seals my love for a show. Aaaand I have just fallen flat on my face for Ben Browder and Claudia Black! *g* I just watched A Human Reaction and then immediately listened to most of the commentary. GREAT episode, GREAT commentary. They're very comfortable and flirtatious and fun together, it's really adorable and great fun to listen to. You can tell they genuinely adore each other, and there's really nothing that makes me happier. I'm so glad there's several commentaries that they do throughout the show, so I can listen to them all I want :)

And now, onwards and upwards! Next up: 1x18 A Bug's Life.

Also watched Farscape episode... uh, 8? With the evil sorceror guy? This show is so campy, it's fabulous. There wasn't nearly enough Aeryn, but Crichton suuuure is pretty! (Though he could do with clothes other than the jumpsuit - leather pants plz! *gimmehands*)

I need a FNL icon! Anyone wanna tell me where I could find some pretty Riggins ones, non-spoilery obviously? :) Even if you just have a few uploaded to your userpics, tell me that and I can go poking around.

GeekTASTIC, man. Also: John Sheppard is as gay as they come.

I just won the first collection of Farscape season 2 for FIVE BUCKS on eBay! Woohoo! Hopefully I'll get good luck like that for most of them, cause I am going to want to buy them all. I watched the third and fourth episodes of the first season last night, and awww. So much love! Especially the third one (forget what it was called - something about Genesis, with the bug things) because wow, John cares for Aeryn a *lot* already. They're so sweet. :D

I totally win at geekery. Want to know why? For my probability and statistics paper, my teacher asked us to come up with an example of how the technique we were talking about could be applied. He said, and I quote, "Be creative!" So what did I do? I used Stargate Atlantis! *beams* Here's the excerpt from my paper...

"This knowledge can be useful in many contexts. For example: fighting a war against evil life-sucking aliens! ( The situation is this... )

My professor seems like quite a geek himself, so I hope he'll be amused *g*

In other SGA news, I made this icon last night, and I'm in love with it. It's from my new favorite picture (see behind the cut) and the word was something someone used in a fic (for some reason I think it was you Mona...) and I developed a strange affection for it. I looked it up - the first definition is having a dislocated hip, lol, but the second one is standing so that one hip is lower than the other, which is EXACTLY what John Sheppard does when he's slouching/leaning all pornographically like he does. Mmph. So, yes.
