exsequar: (SN Dean rock on!)

Must. Not. Eat. Must. Not. Eat.

So I'm fasting today, to raise money and awareness for Oxfam, an organization that addresses world hunger issues. We're going from 7 AM this morning to 7 AM tomorrow, and then pigging out at a diner, whee! We're also sleeping outside tonight. It's gonna be lots of fun, except for the, you know, stabbing stomach pains :P But yeah, it's a really cool thing to be a part of.

My mom sent me a press release that was sent to newspapers back home, which lists everyone that got the Honor's or Dean's list from Fairfield county (where I live) at Franklin & Marshall. I was the only one who got Honor's list, while about... 15 people got Dean's list. *is proud*

Re: Last night's Supernatural (no spoilers). I liked it. I enjoyed it, there were some great moments, Dean rocks my world (sometimes, when he's not offending my embarassment squick - thank you to [livejournal.com profile] esorlehcar for the term), but it's not in my Top 5 for the season. Just because lists are fun...

My Top 5 Favorite SPN Episodes Thus Far
1. Home
2. Nightmare
3. Faith
4. Pilot
5. Scarecrow

So what are your favorite eps? :)

Faith and Home were stupendous! I haven't seen last nights, but the previous two, Something Wicked, and Hell House, I thoroughly enjoyed. Definately ones I could flick back to. I tell you want, though. Asylum is probably my favourite one so far, just because I'm obsessed with haunted mental asylums, and because of the whole "OMG YOU'RE NOT DEAN" scenario :P

How's you, hon? I haven't spoken to you in AGES.

*smoogles*

Oh I've enjoyed all the recent ones, don't get me wrong. But Home was... it dealt with the arc, it delved into Sam and Dean so deeply, and it just touched me, right there. I'm still waiting for another ep that does the same thing. Though Nightmare came close.

Asylum is a good one, I agree :) Angst! Angst!

I ammm... hmm. I am complicated! "Stuff" going on. Bah. And at this very moment, I am tired and hungry :P How are you love?

Eep, yes! Why? Do you live there?

Well, I used to! I was born in Bridgeport, and my grandparents still live in Easton. We visit all the time. It's like the only place I would really say I'm "from."

Wow. That's crazy! I LIVE in Bridgeport! Have for the past 5 years. I lived in Norwalk up until then. I'm... not a big fan of Bridgeport, I must say, but hey. I go WENT to school in Stamford.

What a coincidence!

That is crazy! I'm always surprised when I meet people from places that I've lived, but especially Connecticut. Half my family lives there because that's where my mom's from.

Anyway, cool!

Yay for you getting the Honors list! That's awesome :-)

About last night's SPN ep. I don't know. Probably one of my least favorite eps (it beats "Route 666" and "Bugs", but that's about it). I haven't even typed up an ep reaction post yet because I really need to work some things out in my brain before I rip the episode apart unfairly. I enjoyed most of the ep while I was watching it, but thinking about it now I'm a little put off by it.

I really think I'm letting my intense fear of a chick joining the boys taint my view of the episode itself. It was decent. The ghost was scary. The CoTW was pretty good (and so much better than Cassie it's not even funny). Dean was funny. Sammy was angsty and adorable. I just found myself saying "RAWR!!! GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM MY BOYS AND OFF MY SHOW, BITCH!" to the girl for the entire ep. Which isn't totally fair, as she really was a decent character, all things considered. I like her fine. I just don't like the way she makes me fear for the future of the show. I don't like the idea of her possibly recurring or, even worse, becoming a 3rd main character (because lets face it, cool or not, she was the very definition of a Mary-Sue). Because the boys need to go it alone, dammit!

As for my five favorite eps. Sheesh, I really don't think I could pick just five! Like I really really can't. I just tried, and I can't! LOL. Basically the way it goes for me is that Pilot, Bloody Mary, Skin, Home, Asylum, Scarecrow, Faith, Benders, Nightmare, Shadow, Hell House, and Something Wicked are all my favorites. Wendigo, Dead in the Water, Phantom Traveller, and Hookman are great but more in the middle. Bugs, and Provenance aren't too bad but definitely nowhere near my favorites. And I want to erase Route 666 from my memory and never have to think about it again because it was the worst frigging episode ever.

And that was long. Yeah. Sorry ;-)

Hee, long is fine!

I was actually pretty proud of myself, I was open to accepting the girl this time. She got on my nerves sometimes - some of her line deliveries seemed stilted, or... weirdly slow, but maybe that's just how the actress talks. Anyway, I definitely didn't mind her, and I thought her makeout session with Sammy was pretty effing hot ;) I understand why you didn't like it, but I just didn't have that reaction. I think I've kept myself open to the idea of a new main character, because... honestly, as well as the show works iwth just the boys, I have no idea how long that can last, you know? Especially for poor Jared and Jensen, working their asses off.

But yeah, not one of my fave eps.

You know, I always wrote off Bugs except for the "k, honey?" and the towelhead!Dean, but someone clipped out the best moments of the ep, and I watched it, and they have that whole conversation about how Papa went and checked on Sam! It's like, a really important conversation, and I love it so! So Bugs gets a few points back for that one.

1. Faith

Maybe the Pilot. Hm, or Asylum. I'm not sure, mroe rewatching would be in order.

Sanku!

Actually, surprisingly, I don't feel bad at all. I don't know if it's going to get really bad tonight, or if a day just really isn't that long to go without food. I mean, I've felt hungry all day, but it hasn't gotten past the pitch it gets when you just really want dinner, you know?

Your iconnnnnn *thud* It's so gorgeous! The lighting! The cropping! It blows my mind! Goodness me. My friend hasn't seen that ep yet, because she kinda stopped watching (who blames her?) but I've been trying to find a time to watch it with her, because it is a lovely ep. Oh Mulder, we missed you.

Well, I'm glad it wasn't so bad! (lol how was breakfast?) :D Well, I have to fast one day each year (on Yom Kipur), but other than fasting you also can't use electricity or anything, so it's usually not the hunger that drives me crazy it's the boredom. :D

Oh you really can't blame her.. It really wasn't worth watching after Mulder disappeared, but I had to see this episode (and Jump the Shark, which almost made me cry). :D

Breakfast was yummmmmy. We went to a diner and pigged out, it was great :D 5 hours later and I'm still not hungry, LOL. Once we got back I just crashed in my bed, just woke up now.

The boredom would drive me nuts too! Gosh O.O

Jump the Shark put me in tears too, or at least teary eyes, because omgtheycantdie, but I didn't like the episode itself. It didn't feel like an X-Files episode, actually, so I donno, the sudden focus on the Gunmen felt kinda forced. Eh. I donno. I loved the earlier seasons! Hee.

Gah, I can't remember when was it that I watched it (about.. a year ago?) but I think it was the first time ever that a tv episode got me all teary. Yeah, I didn't like the episode itself either, but I really loved those LGM guys and omgnoes they can't die! :(

Yay go earlier seasons! I think seasons 3-6 were the best ones... and then it kinda went downhill... Booo.

i think i've only seen up to 16 or something (wait, are there 16?) but i liked the one with the Grim Reaper. but mostly just because of that music segment where they discover what it's all about and you see the whole segment with the runner and "don't fear the reaper" plays (which is one of my all-time favorite songs).
