Now that I have your attention...

I LOVED this movie. I came away giddy and squeeing and it just made me feel warm and fuzzy! Anne Hathaway has this charisma to her that just sweeps you away and makes you root for her all the time, regardless. She is the sweetest little thing.

It doesn't hurt that Adrian Grenier is the CUTEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD. If, y'know, sliced bread were cute. But that's not the POINT. He's adorable and I want to squish him and watch every episode of Entourage right now! (I haven't seen it yet, but trust me, I'm going to!) Also, he and Anne had wonderful, marvelous, glowing chemistry. The cutest couple I've seen on screen in a long time. And it was effortless! So sweet. And all I gotta say is that Andy better go to Boston with him rather than taking that job in NY! Come on, grilled cheeses for dinner, PLUS Adrian Grenier's smile? Priceless.

Meryl Streep owned her role, obviously. And her moment of vulnerability was quite perfect. I understand why everyone's so pleased with her, but she didn't really make the movie for me. Anne did, along with all the supporting bits (EVERYONE was great in this movie) - Emily was hilarious, even at her bitchiest; Nigel was marvelous and made me want to squeeze him - I hope he gets his own happy ending along the line; Tracie Thoms as the best friend was a lovely little touch, though I wish she'd gotten a resolution with Andy.

Oh, the exception was the fling-journalist guy (Christian Thompson?) He was CREEPY and skeezy and made me want to take a shower. Plus, his eyebrows were DISTRACTING. Bleugh. I'm glad she didn't *really* fall for his bullshit - she got a little drunk, made an indiscretion, then told him "I'm not your baby" in the morning. They handled that about as well as they could have done, since it was obvious she was going to end up in bed with him at SOME point (but she had to end up with Nate - duh!).

Overall, a wonderful, heartwarming movie that was entertaining from start to finish. I highly recommend it!

Ew, that journalist guy was so gross... I agree, his eyebrows were SO distracting! lol. I couldn't believe that Andy (Andie?) would actually fall for him. Maybe if his eyebrows hadn't been so ugly.
