Uhh that's a very good question. Well for the Semifinalist standing, you need to get over a certain score on the Practice SAT. There's like... 15000 of them chosen in the whole United States. Then for Finalist they basically make sure you're still doing well your senior year, grades are up and everything, and you also fill out an application with an essay and a recommendation from the school principal and college counselor, and most of those 15000 become Finalists. Then for the last part they track the rest of your senior year, and I'm not sure how they pick (I have perfect grades... like wha? o.O) but about 8000 people are chosen for the scholarships. I don't fully understand the process though.
