Apr. 15th, 2005 10:09 pmHAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA! (Watson) She turns 15 today, making me feel very old and silly for adoring her endlessly. But that's okay, she's still the cutest thing ever :D
In other news, I just returned from visiting Franklin & Marshall. It was SO lovely, and all the people were incredibly sweet and kind and helpful and it was just a really great atmosphere. It has a great reputation for its research opportunities, and it's just a really great Liberal Arts school. Plus I talked to a really really hot guy who told me all about the Biochem program... it was hard to concentrate he was so gorgeous. Guh. Unfortunately a senior so he'll be gone next year :( *ahem* I was very impressed by the intellectual qualities of the students I met :P But no really, it was so wonderful. They have great facilities (the Bio building is aging a bit, but they're about to start building a new one, which will be complete in two years... yay!) and it's a really really pretty campus. Large but not hard to walk, really green, and the buildings are very pretty brick. I just really loved the vibe.
Soooo...
I'm going to F&M! Class of '09 baby!
I also think I'm going to take myself off the wait lists for Brown, Amherst, and Williams... I mean, that ship has sailed. They didn't want me at first, they're not exactly going to be clamoring to get me to their school later. The financial aid packages are going to SUCK, and the one we're getting at F&M (including an 18000 scholarship and free laptop!) is already going to put a huge strain on my parents... so I really have to consider that. And psychologically, I just want to have someplace I can call my own now. "I am going to Franklin & Marshall." Doesn't that sound nice? It sounds so nice.
*whew!*
