exsequar: (Girlyrock - MCR - Ways MY brother)
I'm completely immersed in arsenicjade's MCR prison AU. It's unspeakably awesome, if a wee bit idealistic as to how much a loving relationship can actually develop in prison without resulting in death. Frank and Mikey are dancing the tango on my heart, being SO PRECIOUS I could die, and the extent to which Bob and Gerard are utterly dedicated to each other takes my breath away. Throw in extremely generous doses of Mikey&Gee love, Brendon the precious community priest, Brian the awesome community center director, VickyT the garage owner, and SO MANY MORE, and I am just kicking my feet with glee. I am so in love with this story, in fact, that I stayed up until FIVE AM reading it last night. My body has been punishing me for that, and I am vibrating with exhaustion, but yet I am up til TWO AM reading it AGAIN. It's so hard to pull myself away! It's given out in chapters of ~1500 words, and each one makes me want MORE. GAH. I'm forcing myself to go to bed now, and decided that rambling about it for a bit would help me get some closure and actually LEAVE MY COMPUTER.

These boys are just killing me in GENERAL. I now have 500 MB worth of video of them on my iPod - performances, interviews, everything. I've got 19 icons and rising, and I keep getting swallowed by Youtube in search of EVERY WORD THEY'VE EVER SAID EVER.

I did manage to study SOME for my european societies test tonight. I'm having a hard time motivating myself, because it's going to be a really easy test, but if I don't study at ALL I'm in trouble. The test is Wednesday. I've got two whole days. I can do it.

Tomorrow I'm actually going to get out of the house and accomplish things, it's gonna feel good. (It's amazing how stagnant a Sunday can feel, because everything's closed!) I'm gonna drop by HMV and drool over the new Rocksound (with the MCR calendar inside) and decide if I want to buy it or not. Then I'm gonna swing by the grocery store, buy myself some frozen dinners (totally what I live on) and a bottle of Bailey's Irish cream whiskey for my Mom for Christmas :D Then I'm going to go to Trinity and go to the library to photocopy some of the readings I'm missing for my test, and thennnn I'm going to hopefully go see the Old Library and the Book of Kells, which is free to students but I still haven't gotten around to going. I'm also going to check out the gift shop for possible Trinity paraphenalia to buy for my daddy for xmas.

I'm not sure why I shared that. Mostly I'm procrastinating on going to bed, wtf. I'M WEIRD. IDEK.

Have you guys read the booklet for the Limited Edition release of The Black Parade? It's kind of amazing. Each of the band members wrote something - Gerard's "something" is very long. It's a bit melodramatic, just like Gee himself, but it's very revealing about the process of recording TBP. It's fascinating, actually. And reading about how Gerard had night terrors and panic attacks when Mikey wasn't in the house... yeah. It's like that. I actually haven't finished it, just Gee and Mikey's parts, but. They're so worth it. Mikey's kind of made me go all heartclenchy. "I can only hope that you will all be touched and shaken." Oh, Mikeyway. Go read if you haven't: The Black Parade: Limited Edition booklet

And with that, I bid you GOODNIGHT!

I just bought my copy of Rock Sound with the MCR calendar! I'm weak, I know. (I'm also getting the Black Parade calendar for Xmas! I DON'T KNOW, OKAY.) But a wonderful bonus is that the magazine has a page on Panic!'s upcoming album! YAYE! There's a picture in the contents (very recent - Ryan's got his tan jacket and scarves, Brendon's in a white button up, and so forth) and then a full page picture on page 52. There's a little blurb about the upcoming album, with a quote from Pete! Here's the text, which I just typed up for posting to [livejournal.com profile] patd. Someone should scan it too!

PANIC! AT THE DISCO
Words: Andrew Kelham

Panic! At The Disco are putting the finishing touches to the follow-up to platinum-selling debut album 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out' and things could not be more different. Gone are the electronic influences and computer recording and in are the live studio sessions and acoustic guitars. The process has not been easy and their struggles have been well documented, but the band have bounced back after their initial output was scrapped, with the songs deemed too difficult for people to digest. However, Rock Sound has learnt that just because the quartet have ditched the concept record, it does not mean they have dumbed down their output and lost the ability to keep the people close to the m guessing which way they are headed next.

"That band always keeps you a bit in the dark," admits Fall Out Boy bassist and part-time Panic! hypeman Pete Wentz. "I thought they were done with the makeup and stuff but then Ryan [Ross, Panic! axeman] told me they were going to enter their nu-make-up era. He then told me that if the last album was Moulin Rouge then the new record was going to be The Wizard Of Oz."

Songs like 'Nine In The Afternoon' show the band referencing Third Eye Blind and The Beatles, and it seems this is the template from which the second album will be formed. "The new songs are definitely new," said Wentz. "Maybe initially it will be a bit of a stretch for people to get, but I think it will work. The tracks are so different and the songs are so big, people will latch onto them."

Wizard of Oz??? SO AWESOME. And I want to think this means MOAR MAKEUP SHENANIGANS, YAYE. Sooooo excited, zomg.

Random thought: what if Ryan Ross did Gerard Way's makeup? !!!! WANT.

Also: there's the B-word again! What a fucking awesome thing to get compared to, you know? I'm SO excited for our boys. NEW ALBUM NOW PLZ.

I generally don't do this, but I'm currently doing an absolutely miserable reading for my sociology test Wednesday (seriously, this guy goes on such incoherent tangents that he actually has to start the next paragraph with "ANYWAY". No. Seriously. He goes "Anyway, the hopes for a new European social system..." like OH BY THE WAY ALL THAT WAS TOTALLY IRRELEVANT BLATHERING. *stab stab stab stab*) that I could use a bit of love to brighten my evening!

Sooo, Holiday Love Meme! And here's my thread! Go spread the holiday cheer! :)
