exsequar: (Girlyrock - MCR - Gee alien hands)
It is SO BLOODY COLD. I just got inside and I'm warming my hands by holding them against my laptop. BRRRRRR! Depressingly, I left my nice warm pea coat back at my dad's house at Thanksgiving, so I have to live the next two weeks without it :( :( If I disappear, I probably became an icicle.

So I spent ALL DAY today working. I woke up at 9:00 and actually started studying Analytical right away. \o/ I got through all of my notes and it really doesn't look like it will be that bad. Then I met up with my biochem lab partners to work on our massive 40 minute presentation for Tuesday. We spent less than three hours and got a LOT done, then split up to put together our individual sections and do whatever we need to do. I got home, had dinner, then decided I would treat myself and go to a play that a guy I sort of know directed. More of a motivation was that the adorable little freshman from my Cinema class is in it, and I wanted to see how he'd do.

It was GREAT. It's called "Welcome to the Moon and Other Plays" and it's these six darling little vignettes, a little goofy, a little profound. They started cute and just got better and better. This one guy was SUCH a fabulous comedic actor, I felt like he belonged on the Office or something. Another guy (who was MOST attractive) played this dashing cowboy and I wanted to nom on him. Later he played a hilarious suicidal depressive (trust me, it worked) and he was just so great. The best part was that in the last little play, they ended up declaring their love for each other and sharing an epic hug, then stood with their arms around each other whispering little nothings to each other while other stuff happened. I was so enamored, heeee. And the guy from my class was SO precious. He's this tiny little puppy eyed thing (the director's blog helpfully provides this photo) and in his first two pieces, he was all earnest and heartsick and I wanted to smish him. But then in the last one he played this hilariously unimpressed bartender who poured out five shots of tequila into a glass by counting loudly "ONE....TWO....THREE...." and so on. It was so fantastic. And then, after the boys had declared their love, he started SINGING! And I was just blown away! He has this gorgeous pure tenor. So THAT was unexpected!

Ummmm it was fabulous the end. I'm glad I gave myself that little treat! Now it's back to the books!
