I FEEL YOUR SQUEE. I mean it's not just that he has Sammy back but that he has him back AND they're happy again. AND Dean wants to quit the JOB. FOR SAM. That's his whole life right there, everything he's ever done and he's willing to give it up just to keep his Sam safe.
The whole episode, from each boy's POV, was about saving the other. Dean wanted to save Sam when he went to Lafayette, and then when he was tied up (!), he was so powerless to do anything and he couldn't ever bear it. And then Sam was trying to save Dean from the gun pointed at his head, because he didn't know the whole circumstance but he'd do whatever it took to save his Dean.
When Dean said "Bitch," and Sam responded with "Jerk," it was almost immediate. It was kind of like they'd held that as their own inside joke since the first time we saw it. Kind of like implying that they'd said it to each other in between the times we heard it on screen. Which HOW MUCH LOVE IS THAT. Every episode shows us more of the bond between them and then we SQUEE ABOUT IT.
