winterlive!! ♥ I've had you on my flist for ages, but recently we've started talking more, and I love that. You're witty, clever, hilarious, and extremely talented! I hope you have an awesomesauce day :D
Secondly: OMG. OMG.
I haven't posted about it yet because I knew ya'll would cover it all, but OMG. We have, hands down, the best boys ever. This episode was HILARIOUS, from start to finish. I don't think I went 10 seconds without laughing out loud. Just - our boys are so fucking spot on, with every line and facial expression and tiny bit of body language. Even when Sam and Dean are fighting (which, owmyheart!) Jared and Jensen still are so in sync, bouncing off each other with perfect rhythm. Toss Bobby in the mix, and you have GOLD. I just. SERIOUSLY.
In one episode, we had the following: purple nurples. bed wrestling. blahblahblah. anal probes. alien slow dancing. barry white. major tom. finger licking. bustyasianbeauties.com. chipmunkcheek dean. staring into the sun. too precious for this world. giant sewer alligator. monogrammed money clip. chainsaw killer. old married couple.
ONE EPISODE, PEOPLE. I think we totally and utterly win.
And the icing on the cake was that we STILL got a perfect, heartyanking moment of TOTAL EMO. That silent apology at the end? *MELTS INTO A PUDDLE OF GOO* Yaknow, all this bickering *would* be expected of any pair of people that spends so much time together. It's normal, it's natural, ESPECIALLY between brothers. But our boys had to be basically forced into it, and when it was over, they were both like "Oh my god I'm SO SORRY baby I love you SO MUCH I will NEVER do that again!" Seriously, that's exactly what their eyes said. THE SCHMOOFACES! And you just KNOW as soon as they ditched Bobby, they kissed the breath out of each other, and then fucked on the nearest convenient surface. Mmmmmmmph. (Fic please?)

And on that note, could this episode be ANY MORE GAY? NO! NONE MORE GAY! I just - the Sam in Dean's head is SO FUCKING GAY I can't handle it *holds head* With the jacket over the shoulder, and the pursed lips, and the nagging. Stereotypically gay, obviously, but still - I just. HEEEE. And of COURSE I don't have to mention the bed wrestling. When, as someone so kindly pointed out, SAM IS NOT WEARING A BELT, AND HIS PANTS SLIP DOWN AND IT SURELY LOOKS LIKE HE'S GOING COMMANDO, OH YIS. We have had evidence of this in the past as well. Oh Sam. In Dean's words, that's kinda naughty! *dies*

At the same time as I am FLAILING about all this, I also love how several people have taken a step back and pointed out the poignant threads running through this episode. The boys' perceptions of each other really kind of hurt if you stop to think about them, and the bits of truth that are at the bottom of these caricatures. YET, at the same time, we KNOW how much Sam and Dean love each other. We know the lengths they would go to for each other, we've been shown them again and again and again. ("Who says I want to?" *dies a quiet death*) So what can be taken from these two facts is that while, yes, Sam and Dean know and acknowledge each other's flaws, they love each other unconditionally, wholeheartedly. They're only harping on them now because the trickster has wound them up to this tense frenzy where every little thing gets blown completely out of proportion. So while this is always kind of there, it doesn't even matter. They would follow each other to the ends of the earth despite, and heck, BECAUSE of, who they are. Because that's who they love. Their bond truly goes way beyond basic fraternal, and it's things like this that make my heart swell endlessly.
I have no idea if that was coherent at all. Basically? Only the Winchesters could come out of an episode about a FEUD between them with you utterly and totally convinced of their infinite abiding love for each other. Mmmmph.
And that's all I've got. Off to rewatch s'more, because CLASS IS CANCELLED WOO!
Random question: Is it obnoxious of me to appropriate random speech mannerisms from other places? Like - I say "ya'll" a lot (and I'm about as Northern as you get), and "NOT ON" (clearly not British!) and various other isms that just aren't part of my native speech patterns. I think my friends are used to it (they used to raise their eyebrows when I did it) but... is it an obnoxious thing to do? I just don't know. I find it fun, and eventually it just becomes natural, as a result of being around people from all over the place on LJ, and also, yknow, being obsessed with two boys from Texas and watching a lot of shows with Brits. I don't know! Help me out here, folks!
