My daddy loves the second My Chemical Romance album (Three Cheers... - awesome right?) and he said they have an AMAZING lead guitarist. Eeeee, FRANKIE! For some reason the fact that Frankie has my dad's stamp of approval makes me love him EVEN MORE. Hahaha. ETA: Haha, wow, FAIL. So Frank isn't the lead guitarist, he's rhythm, and RAY is lead. DUR. I fail at life.

However, my dad can't even listen to the third album - he says it's way too controlled and has lost all their unrestrained wildman insanity of the second album. I had told him that Gerard was a recovered alcoholic, so he asked me if Gerard was recovered yet when they made the second album, and I told him I don't think so, but I'm not sure. Help me out here? I haven't watched the MCR DVD yet, though I plan to! Then my dad kinda laughed and said they'll probably never make music like their first album again. If that's the price for Gerard's health, I'm perfectly willing to pay it! Not that I don't love Black Parade, cause I DO.

(ETA: It has now been brought to my attention that I mistakenly thought Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge was their first album - durr! Stupid me! Now my dad really wants to hear the first album!)

I slept until THREE PM today *facepalm* I'm not even sure why either, I guess the week of waking up to pick up my brother from practice, but then not going to bed early, took its toll? *hands* So now it's 7:30 and this day just feels bizarrely short, because it IS.

Man, bandom is just rolling in the glorious new canon, aren't we? Pete's favorite shape is a Patrick! Patrick has read the fanfic! Jon got hit by a bottle this time (!!!! *KILLS PEOPLE*) but laughed and said he took one for the band! Ryan and Travis and Mike and Alex got interviewed together, WHAT? Everyone is so precious and darling I don't know what to DO with myself! *sighs happily*

But jostling for the prize of MOST ADORABLE is our one and only JSQUARED. The gag reel footage? PRICELESS X INFINITY. ♥♥♥♥

I made icons!! I was on a total roll last night, it was so much fun. A post will be forthcoming... soon!

I don't think it has anything to do w/ Gerard's health, tbh, it's just them growing up from album to album. On Bullets... they'd been a band for a very short time; Frankie joined them like a few days before they recorded that record, and they didn't have much of an idea of what they were doing. Second album they'd been touring and learning and growing up, they had a better producer etc etc. Third album obv was after the MCR "explosion" so. I dunno, I think musically TBP is the best album, but Bullets is my favourite I think. Which do you prefer?

It's kind of Reading tradition to bottle people though (crowd as well as acts... I've been hit before hahah) just not to hurt people. So like, as long as they were all ok and played their set out, I'm happy. And it sounds like it did go well after the initial bottling so :)

(Now they just really need to GO HOME and WORK ON THE FREAKIN' ALBUM, jesus. Stop pissing around Europe, tiny Panic! boys! Not that we don't love having you, but quit procrastinating!!)

Heeey, just a little note, Frank's not MCR's lead guitarist, Ray is. Frank's just the rhythm guitarist. :)

But yeah, Ray has MAD SKILZ. :D

I cant even listen to their first album all the way through, I really dont like it. Black Parade on the other hand I really like. Three Cheers I enjoy. Im really happy I caught them in concert, it was a spur of the moment thing.

Bullets is, um. Interesting. You can hear that they already had a lot of what the brought to the studio for Revenge and TBP, but they weren't really sure what to do with it -- and they're missing things. Like, um, the whole concept of song structure.

I am, however, desperately fond of the first half (literally the first half -- I turn it off at about 2:40 every time) of Early Sunsets Over Monroeville. ♥!

This really doesn't have anything to do with your post, except it has something to do with MCR and I thought you'd enjoy.

I was at a baseball game last week and some guy stands up a few rows back from me and yells the following:

HEY (insert guy's name...can't really remember)! YOU'RE WEARING TOO MUCH EYELINER! BUT NOT IN A GAY WAY! I LIKE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, TOO!

XD I guffawed.

Thought you'd appreciate it.
