You need to know your account number and your routing number. They are both printed on your cheque, but if you dont have that the people on the phone will tell you.
Then im not quite sure. Youll have to have your irish account, but if you get to ireland, open an account and have a problem...itll be hard to talk to the wachovia people.
My advice is to open an account in an international bank. Citibank, HSBC, or some other bank that is in your town and in Dublin. Should be easier that way, although how they convert your money into euros needs to be questioned. Banks tend to have the best rates though, but look out for fees.
