Jul. 30th, 2005 02:39 amOMG somebody please cure my ridiculous obsession with posters!!! PLEASE! I seriously have zero room left on my walls, and besides, I'm moving to college in less than a month (OMG *hyperventilates*) and needless to say I will have a VERY difficult time picking what to bring as it is! Dorms are small, you know :P I've shown you HERE all the things on my walls, and since then I've added 7 full pages from a Star Wars magazine, and a miniposter with Darth Vader on it that says "Who's your daddy?" that I got free at the theater. But even before those my walls were pretty much full.
Despite that, these are the posters/pictures I'm drooling over at allposters.com, which is currently having a 20% off sale...

HOT. A little expensive. But gorgeous.

Ohhh the sexual tension...

This one's quite cheap, and both Obi and Ani look gorgeous. *whimper*

This poster is just fucking SWEET. I mean, look at it! Agh. Love it.

Just lovely! With the different colors, and all. Also very cheap. Tempting, tempting...

EYELINER EWAN *flails* for less than 5 bucks! This one I might really get cause it's small..

Ewan somehow just looks beautiful here, even with the buzz cut. And I liked this movie.
Speaking of Ewan movies, why are there NO posters for Velvet Goldmine?? That makes me v.v. sad. Also no Life as a House! I want goth!Hayden on my wall, plzkthx.
Also:

Nnnnggh! So beautiful! But the most expensive of the lot :( Wah.
Last but not least, by any measure:

Oh what a pair they'd make! I'd love to have them in my bedroom, watching over me with Aragorn ^_^ But alas... NO ROOM.
Well, that's what I wish I could have. Alas. NO WALLS. lol :)
And one more thing. I finished watching Young Adam and I liked it. Mostly what I liked was Ewan's performance. It was quite dark and gritty, and didn't really have a satisfactory conclusion, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. (Side note: Does anyone else think Tilda Swinton is rather spectacularly ugly? Ugh. She played Gabriel in constantine, although she wasn't quite so emaciated there.) Ewan is very pretty, and more than that he's an absolutely phenomenal actor. He had this monologue near the beginning that I copied down because I loved it so much. Reading the text alone probably won't mean much, but just his voice, the carefully disinterested monotone, is so beautiful. Nevertheless, I'm going to post it here.
A little context: Joe (Ewan) and his boss found a woman's body drifting in the river. In this scene, they're speculating as to how she died. Ewan says this whole thing with no interruptions, pausing to take drags from his cigarette. It's very beautiful, really.
I think she went to a bridge fully dressed, and stood there breathing the warm night air. She took off her jacket and folded it neatly on the ground. And then she unbuttoned her blouse and undid her brassiere, let it drop down on top of the other clothes. Then she'd unbutton her skirt and let it slip down over her hips. Then she'd unroll her stockings, and hold them out so that they blew in the breeze like pennants, before she let them float off into the night. And she'd shiver, and ask herself if she really wanted to go through with it, and she'd answer that question by kicking her clothes into the river. And hurriedly now she'd take off her garter and her knickers, and there she'd be, standing in her petticoat, thinking about whatever it was that brought her to this. And then, with her petticoat billowing around her, she'd drop into the water like a rose, float there for a moment, and be gone.
chilling. Ewan owns my soul.
That concludes tonight's miscellany. I'm for bed.
(I'm seeing The Island tomorrow! :D)
