I don't think you're being naive at all - on the contrary, your enthusiasm is SERIOUSLY infectious, at least for me! I love seeing how people I know are really getting into this election & are so ready for some real change this time around. I'm going to vote for the first time ever & I am SO.EXCITED. I'm trying to be cautious in my optimism, but deep down, I'm just as excited as you are. Every time I see someone with an Obama button on, or a sticker on a car, I just want to high-five them.
& as for McCain, everything I've heard the past few weeks just really showcases how he's running his whole campaign into the ground. When candidates get so ugly toward an opponent . . . yeah, it can't turn out good. But I think Obama's handling it with real grace & confidence & that just makes me want to give him a great big hug.
(& I NEVER talk politics with people. The fact that I'm actually DOING so now means I'm SERIOUSLY excited about this election. It's GREAT. :D)
