I AM SO JEALOUS OF YOUR CHEM LAB! The one I worked in (freshman only, thank dog) was super-lame. Fresh air came in through vents on the bench-top just below the bunsen burners so it was fresh for a maximum of two inches. The only way you could get fresh air if you felt dizzy (except for leaving the lab) was if you sat on the floor.
