I never thought it would happen, but it HAS.
I have met a fellow LJer, slasher, shoeboxer, and many-other-thinger - IN REAL LIFE. She lives in the same building as me! Isn't that crazy?! She found me on facbook by searching for Firefly in the interests, and I was the only freshman that popped up. She dropped me a random message on facebook, and much squeeing ensued. Then I went over to her dorm and we (me, her, and her roommate, who is also cool and fandomy) watched "Safe," an episode of Firefly.

On our agenda: watch Velvet Goldmine, Queer as Folk, Doctor Who, the rest of Firefly (since she hasn't seen all of it), Serenity, Goblet of Fire, Brokeback Mountain. Share books around. Have lots of FUN. Yay.

Date: 2005-09-10 10:50 pm (UTC)I wanted to get a copy of the Israeli TV Guide that had Gale's picture on it but it was all in Hebrew including the date, the publisher's address, etc.
So I asked a rabbi in my building to translate it for me but instead he called them and of all things the customer service lady he spoke to was an avid Gale Harold fan who sent me 2 copies of it, immediately free of any charge.
