Rereading my comment I do see that I should have edited more carefully because I do come across as accusatory and personally attacking.
There's nothing wrong with liking the episode. There's nothing wrong with thinking that they went out heroes, or with not having a problem that they died. You're right, it's an apocalypse, and people are going to die. I don't think you need to hand in your feminist cred or whatever.
But I do think that shutting down peoples very valid concerns about the episode and its place in the greater picture of how SPN treats women is never a good move.
